We did the self guided tour which was very good, but a great tour guide would have filled in little bits and pieces …..plus I think there’s a haunted walk component to it! If you get a chance book Room 304 as it’s a corner room on the top floor and the ONLY one with an additional window with a decent view (4 windows versus just 3). The hosts are ultra welcoming and friendly. And gave me some great tips on places to visit, including nearby scenic walks.
Plus Simon cooks a top English breakfast and Paula does a great job of keeping the place in order.
They allow dogs, although best to check with them before booking to make sure they will get on with their dogs ok.
The nearby road is noisy early morning, but only if you keep the window fully open.」
