About this property
Walk to Lake Tahoe - Pet-Friendly Cabin - Sleeps 7, Kids Welcome
A comfortable two-bedroom condo in the Carnelian Woods community — walking distance to Lake Tahoe and an easy drive to both Palisades Tahoe and Northstar. Great setup for families or a small group. What's included:
Walk to Lake Tahoe Community pool, hot tub, sauna & tennis courts Lodge with pool table and air hockey Ski lockers & gear storage In-unit washer & dryer Pack 'n Play + booster seat Beach towels + Smart TVs throughout Pet friendly
Sleeping setup:
Queen bed in bedroom 1 Queen bed in bedroom 2 Queen sofa bed in the living area Rollaway bed available (stored in the upstairs bedroom closet — rolls right out into the main loft area, which makes a great little sleep nook or hangout space for kids) Pack 'n Play for little ones
Full kitchen stocked for real cooking — not just the basics. In-unit washer and dryer, beach towels, multiple Smart TVs, and fast WiFi throughout. The complex is quiet and family-friendly, with the pool, hot tub, sauna, tennis courts, and arcade lodge all steps away.
About the loft: The main loft is a great hangout space and works perfectly as a sleeping area with the rollaway. The upstairs bedroom has a second loft space — the ladder has been removed and we ask that guests not attempt to access it. We really mean this one. It's not safe without the ladder and any wall damage will be charged to the booking.
A few things to know: Small water heater — if you're a group, space out your showers. No AC (Tahoe summers rarely need it). The closest beach to Carnelian Woods is a pebble beach — not sandy, but genuinely lovely. BYO rackets for the tennis courts. Winter heads up: Tahoe weather moves fast — 4WD/AWD or chains are often required during storms. Please plan accordingly.
Getting around:
CB's Bistro: 2 min drive / 15 min walk Waterman's Cafe: 2 min drive / 13 min walk Garwoods: 2 min drive Tahoe City: 11 min · Kings Beach: 8 min · Truckee: 25 min Northstar: 15 min · Palisades: 23 min · Diamond Peak: 23 min · Homewood: 21 min
All times reflect good weather and no traffic — allow extra on powder days. Access: Full access to the condo, ski storage, open parking (guest tags provided), and all community amenities — pool (seasonal), hot tub, sauna, tennis courts, and the arcade lodge. ID verification and damage waiver required through Truvi prior to arrival.

The place was comfortable to my needs it was just perfect, it was very clean it had every things I need in the kitchen. I can say that I enjoy my staying at this place thank you for taking my call late at night
Nice neighborhood, great amenities, house was clean and well taken care of to relax after long days hiking, boating around the lake. Would do it again.
Friends from France visited and we enjoyed the stunning views from this area of the lake. This condo is conveniently located near to views and easy access to shops and restaurants by car. The condo is cozy, clean and comfortably can sleep 6.
Loved that there was a trail behind the condominium! Also, love that it was conveniently located to stores and restaurants. We didn’t have to bring our pack n play or dinnerware for our toddler since the place already had those things!
Very comfortable and felt like a winter snow land. My kids got to play in the snow and the owners were even very nice and responds right away. Thank you again and will be back.
Well kept up property. Convenient location to stores and restaurant. However, the condo had an odd odor when the heater went on, like old cigarette smoke. Filters may need to be replaced
Property is nice, location wonderful, very well equipped. When we received the confirmation from VRBO we had an address but no unit number. Thk heavens we got there before 8:30 pm otherwise we may not have found the unit. The lodge were very helpful and kind and got us to r unit. We would stay there again.
Spacious townhouse in a quiet neighborhood about 5 mins walking distance from the lake. Perfectly located between Tahoe City and Kings Beach and about a 20 min drive to Truckee. Hot water in the shower doesn’t last very long and I saw numerous black ants in the kitchen. Otherwise, I really enjoyed my stay and would stay again :)
Son and I enjoyed our 4 night stay here. Was very quite due to off season. Leena was always quick to respond when needed ( broken coffee pot, upstairs toilet issues). I do want to mention, I did not read the fine print before booking and paying to find out you have to fill out and pay “SuperHog” for a
background check.
We started our vacation early with 2 nights at this cute and very clean condo. Condo is well stocked with pots, pans, glasses and cups. Stove boils water in record time (seriously...it was mind-blowing). For Garwood's fans, location is across the street and a very makeable walk up the the hill (in the summer). Pool is very big and clean as well. Small deck overlooking lots of trees through slider in living area. Great instructions from Leena. Would totally book again.
The condo was a great value and lived up to expectations. We had a family of 5 with 3 kids and enjoyed our stay. There was plenty of sleeping space, and comfortable couches to relax. The downstairs bed was pretty firm. The kitchen was well stocked, including staples and spices. We enjoyed the small patio with a beautiful view of the forest. We went to the lodge and used the pool and hot tubs - highly recommend! It was an oasis in the trees. We were one of the furthest condos from the lake, which we didn't realize from the listing (but that was OK!). Overall everything went smoothly and was a great stay!

Liked: Cleanliness, location, listing accuracy
Could be great …
Nice property. Very clean and comfortable with one exception. There seems to be some issue with the plumbing that keeps a water pump system going off randomly at all hours. The pump is loud. Happened throughout the night which made sleeping a challenge.
The upstairs was quite hot even with a fan blowing on us and the window open all night. There were very few outlets and no extension cords to be found. The bed was very uncomfortable. My husband and I kept rolling in the middle. The location is great, the downstairs bedroom was much cooler. The host was very responsive.
