Wynkoop: Taste of Europe | Walk to Wineries | Pet Friendly
Calling all wine lovers, design enthusiasts, and history buffs. Whether you’re planning a romantic getaway or a girls weekend, Wkynoop at Carlton is your home away from home in the heart of Oregon wine country.
This 19th century Victorian is big on charm, featuring cozy, Dutch inspired design and modern amenities. Built in 1887, Wynkoop is one of the oldest homes in the area and features beautiful period details. Located in downtown Carlton, you’re just steps from restaurants, tasting rooms, and coffee shops and a short drive to the 800 wineries and vineyards that the Willamette Valley has to offer.
THE SPACE Overview The house has two stories, with one bedroom on each floor and the bathroom on the ground level. Please note that the staircase to reach the second floor is quite steep. There is a secondary living room off of the kitchen with a sleeper sofa that comfortably sleeps two. The kitchen is fully equipped with a coffee station and all the essentials for cooking. A washer and dryer is available on the property for guest use. Guests also have access to the front yard and a spacious fully-fenced back yard with fire pit. Had to go see Dr. in Portland and was very stressed. This cute house was exactly as described and more. Hosts were easy to communicate with and too many "extras" to list. Would stay again.

We had a great stay in this house. Every detail is well thought out in this space. It was nice having multiple areas to spread out, the beds are super comfy, and we appreciated everything provided for the pup! We would definitely stay here again if in the area.

This is the cutest house with a ton of accommodations/ can’t say enough good about the property location, house and yard. Super close to the small downtown. Only note to folks traveling from out of town is that most businesses are closed Tuesday and Wednesday

This was perfect for our wine tasting trip. Host was very responsive and accommodating. Love this little European inspired home. All the extra touches (robes, bathroom extras, and coffee and tea bar, treats) over the top and much appreciated. Wonderful stay and will definitely stay again.

We love staying in Carlton and enjoying the small town vibe paired with incredible wines and of course......the bakery!
Wynkoop was in the perfect location and set up great for two couples (as long as you don't mind the stairs to the upstairs room). It was very well appointed, everything was clean and exactly as described. We'll be back for sure!

My wife, our 10-year-old, and I spent an effortless three days at the Wynkoop. The house was very well-appointed with cozy eclectic furniture for living—including a perfect remote work space, an ample kitchen, and amazingly comfortable beds. The layout is a little bit awkward as neither bedroom is particularly convenient to the bathroom, but the house was charming overall and we look forward to a return visit.

The Carlton Wynkoop was a perfect stay for my wife, our 10-year-old, and me. Communication was quick and thorough, and it was convenient to everything from good food (Carlton Bakery a 3 minute walk) to dozens of great wineries. The house was well-appointed and clean. While the layout is a little bit quirky (neither bedroom is particularly close to the bathroom), the charm, convenience, decor, and general comfort level made it a perfect 3 night stay for our family. We hope to return.

Communication was stellar. Hosts were available immediately when we had a question. Very clean. So many little touches in this property, it is obvious the hosts are thoughtful and want the renters to be happily surprised. Quality linens. Location is great. Right in downtown Carlton, walk to the tasting rooms and restaurants. We definitely enjoyed our stay and plan to return.

Great location, walkable to Carlton’s charming downtown and several excellent wine tasting rooms. However, the downstairs bedroom is not much bigger than the queen bed and the stairs to the upstairs bedroom are too treacherous to be readily useful, Also, only the two bedrooms are air conditioned
(window units) so beware if you wind up visiting during a heat wave (we were fine). The side porch and backyard were great for our pup and our hosts were kind enough to provide dog bowl and a comfy bed. The house was very clean; we appreciated that and the kitchen was stocked with many new appliances. Overall our stay was fine but the accommodations did not exceed our expectations. Good but not great; and I’m saying so because anymore reviews are becoming excessively flattering and often inaccurate,
