Carlsbad Convention and Visitor Information

Great spot for plane spotting aircraft at SAN. The rooftop guest area has a great view for pictures. Large rooms and ample beds make it excellent for large families.

Our room was clean. the staff was great. I have stayed here before and really like the hotel. Unfortunately, I am not sure if I will stay there again for the following reasons: There were annoying plumbing issues in our room. The bathroom sink and shower did not drain well. The tub stopper didn't stay open. The shower valve was sticking and difficult to turn. Water barely came out of the shower head because the valve to turn on the shower leaked. Maintenance just seemed to be slipping. Also, it was disappointing to learn on check-in that the hotel restaurant is only open for dinner. I was not aware they no longer served breakfast. It's a nice hotel, but I hope they are not being thrifty to the point they are letting the quality suffer.

The hotel was beautiful, the pool was great to relax by enjoy the sauna and cold plunge. The beach is a short walk down the stairs and is a pretty quiet beach, it does have a lot of rocks tho. The amenities being able to rent a bike, beach chairs and board were a lot of fun. There was lots of good restaurants a short bike ride away. The staff was all very friendly and helpful.
