「I was looking for a stay for just one night. It was an unexpected stay due to prior arrangement the next morning I wanted a place that was simply clean and comfortable. Didn’t need anything that was crazy and I wanted something that didn’t cost an arm and a leg. This place fit the bill looks to be an older building that has been upgraded, which I don’t mind and everything was clean, tidy, and the bed was comfortable.」

「It was -12 on Portage Lake and we cranked the heat pump up to 75. The Birds Nest cabin needs another heat source. Upstairs was cold when we got back at 10:30 pm after leaving the heat on all day in the cabin.The two full size beds that are pictured is one that’s on the bottom of a metal bunk bed frame and the other is upstairs where the roof is pitched so one side has no head room to accommodate two grown adults.New owners shut the water off for the winter. 「A beautiful cottage set in a wooded camp on Portage Lake. We kayaked and canoed. Very rustic, but super comfortable. Washer/dryer was a bonus! Hiked up Hedgehog Mountain, drove on to Fort Kent. Grilled some fish and relaxed on the wonderful covered patio. 」
