「We have stayed many times over the years at the Quesnel Sandman. We appreciate the friendliness of the front desk staff. The room this time was really nice and recently renovated. Glad we booked our stay this time again. Only possible negative was the pool and hottub. The pool was super cold (I would prefer a bit heated and the hottub smelled odd and broke down the first night we stayed and was out of order the rest of the stay but not a big deal for us.」

The first room they placed me in had birds living in the bathroom fan exhaust, very noisy. The owner knew about it and decided to put me there anyway. There was an adjoining covered balcony with a great view overlooking the lake. Although the posted regulations said "No Smoking", we were confused as to why there were supplied ashtrays on each balcony. 「DO NOT STAY HERE. There has been a boil water advisory for YEARS! And it is still not fixed. Interior Health has issued numerous citations. If you Google it, the news articles come up. There is no working pools or breakfast available because of the boil water advisory. Garbage and trash is all over the property. Bathroom floor was grimy. This place is a dump.」
