"Room was nice once we were accommodated a room change . Initially we were in room 829. We were very displeased with the view from 829. The hotel was very accommodating and moved us to room 1210. That view was amazing and the room was in much better condition than 829. The Staff overall were incredibly friendly which I found refreshing. Pit bosses need to be a bit friendlier . And some casino staff were moody. They need to improve in customer service in the casino. The food options were very very good for an all inclusive. Buffets were very impressive and restaurants were very good . "

"The hotel is beautiful! The buffet breakfast option has great selection but a bit pricey if you’re not someone that eats a ton. This hotel is a bit far from the airport and city so plan around transportation and/or rent a car. "

"The staff was absolutely warm and welcoming. They went out of their way to show their Caribbean hospitality. Julissa from the Elite Lounge was excellent. We didn’t initially get offered the room upgrade. However, Julissa later personally came to our room to offer us an upgrade: a room with a swim-out pool. Unfortunately, we refused the upgrade because our room had a great view of the resort. We had a great time and would recommend this resort to family and friends. We will also be returning soon in the near future. We had an awesome ! "

"After looking at a number of places to stay for our 20th anniversary, we settled on the Royal Sonesta. This place was absolutely amazing, very nice and clean, with kind and welcoming staff. It's right on the beach, with loungers and umbrellas available for hotel guests. There's a bar and restaurant right on the beach as well. The food and drinks were very good, and the swim up bar was nice once it reopened 5 days into our 7 days stay. If I were to note some areas for improvement, I would start with the refrigerator in our room. It kept freezing items we put into it, even at the lowest setting. Meals and drinks at the hotel proved to be too expensive for us after only a few days, so we stopped at a grocery store for supplies. However we ended up with frozen yogurt and fruit in the morning after placing those items in the refrigerator. The USB ports built into the furniture also did not work for charging at all. Additionally only 2 of the 3 elevators worked the entire time we were there. Beyond that, I greatly enjoyed our stay here. Every staff member I met was warm and kind, our room and all the facilities were clean and beautiful with so much greenery around."
