"We had an amazing overnight stay at the Annex. Nancy, the host, could not have been more welcoming, informative and helpful. The cottage was ideal for our particular needs - a rather last minute booking - and very clean and well equipped throughout. It was beautifully warm, and the property is set deep in a very beautiful part of lovely Exmoor. Would highly recommend this cosy cottage for a couple and reasonably priced as well. "

"Had the most incredible stay once we arrived at the house. So stunning with endless views, fantastic rooms, the most comfortable bedding and everything was spotless. "beautiful outlook and amazing quality barn conversion. All the little details have been thought of. Even the loo roll is top quality!!!! Gilbert is a fantastic host. "Conveniently situated only 5 minutes drive from my first appointment of the following day, I got checked in with a warm reception from the staff. I have stayed there twice before so had an idea of what to expect. I had one of the external ground floor rooms which made it easier to go back and forth to the car park. Having dines there previously, I did so again and was well looked after with some sumptious food provided for a very reasonable cost. The room itself was spacious, clean and provided everything I needed. The Wi-Fi was a little spotty which was the only drawback. The surrounding area allowed for an hour long walk with lovely scenery. The shower was very powerful and the bed comfy for a good night's sleep. Breakfast in the morning was amazing with some locally sourced ingredients to get the day started off right. Can't wait to be back here again."

"For the price this place is excellent. You are paying the price of a hostel but you have your own room, a decent bathroom and tea making facilities. The hotel has seen better days, and if you want something swanky pay another £100 per night. Staff were helpful, room was clean, and location is spot on. "

"Loved it. I was seeing a band in Cardiff and picked this hotel as it was close to the train station. Couldn’t have been happier with the service and the hotel. Not going to claim it’s 5 stars but it met all my needs and the late night bar was perfect for a refreshing drink after getting back from the gig. "
