Wonderful Stay

This house is beautiful. They have done a wonderful job creating little ambient areas on the side of the house and in the front. It’s just a two minute walk from the beach, the pool is great, the house had everything. We will definitely return.

Great for 10 or fewer

We had an Awesome time with our immediate family. The private pool and beach were a hit with our 4 kids (2 preteens and 2 kids). We’ve been coming to Sanibel for decades but this was our first house rental in Captiva as well as staying all together. Sunsets, location, weather, pool and house were all fantastic. My only complaint was that due to construction of new house next door, nails from roof were sprinkled throughout driveway causing a flat tire on rental car. Owner and property manager should be aware.

Villa Elena is beautiful home with tile floors, 4 nice bedrooms, 3 bathrooms. There is a pool and walled patio area at the front of the house and a second outdoor patio that adjoins a screened porch on the back of the house which is also walled off/private. For those with dogs, that means two fenced areas where your dogs can play. The walk to the beach is down a secluded lane and can be done in about 2.5 minutes. Really easy. Very comfortable house. Easy bike ride to town. Short walk to dock on bay. Just a fantastic location on great stretch of Captiva beach. Not brand new and modern, but very comfortable and great vacation place. We really enjoyed it.

Overall we had a fantastic getaway. Loved the house! Loved the beach across the street. Several things were not to our expectations: there was not an extra set of bedding for the pull out couch (8 sleeping spaces for 9 guests. The house is supposed to fit 10); there were only 6 beach towels for 9 people; the fountain in the courtyard did not work, although it was in the description of the property, which made it seem that it should be a functional fountain. Perhaps these things would have been easily fixed if we made a call to the office. We were too busy having fun at the beach. It’s just surprising that a house that’s supposed to sleep 10 was not ready for 10 people.

We really enjoyed our stay, the beach and the town. It was a wonderful first adventure in Captiva! Paulina was very helpful but so was everyone we dealt with. When we called after hours, our call was returned promptly. Even the maintenance man said to call if we needed anything.

perfection on captiva

villa elena is an elegant older home with the ideal space & layout for our family of seven. inside is updated and immaculate; the empty beach a 2 minute walk down a shaded lane. we all loved this house and would return in a heartbeat. thank you for such lovely hospitality.

Villa Elena was perfect for us. Really liked the location , and the home itself was very well appointed. Very comfortable home and family friendly. We will likely revisit this property in the future. Only minor “ding” is the TV in family room is quite small. Great house. Highly recommend it

Wonderful place.

Loved our stay at Villa Elena. Locating the place from the road could use some help. Also could use some more towel hooks for shared bathroom. Also could use a different way to secure the back fence door. Over all the house and staff were outstanding. Would definitely stay again.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This is a great property in an excellent location. We loved being within a short walk of the beach and the dock. The cart with beach chairs, umbrella and a stock of beach/pool toys was a big help as we were traveling with 3 small grandchildren. The house was clean and spacious and we enjoyed the screened lanai for many meals. The pool area is very nice with plenty of lounge chairs and an umbrella. We liked the "peace and quiet" of the location, close enough to the village to take advantage of restaurants, etc. but not in the middle of everything. Re/Max responded quickly to our requests for assistance. All in all a wonderful experience! Our only minor concern was the layout of the bedrooms, very close to the main living area and adjacent to the pool. With three little ones, they were sometimes awakened by others in the house. Take a small noise machine if traveling with little ones. Great property! Great family vacation at Villa Elena.

The living room furniture is in dire need of replacement and the outdoor living space (the pool area) needs more than 2 lounge chairs. This IS a house big enough for a family. We have stayed her for the past 5 or 6 years and will continue, but we would be delighted to see some minor things addressed. ReMax was awesome!
