COVID-19 has transformed how the world works in ways big and small, including our approach to travel. These tips will help you navigate these new challenges and get you ready for your trip to Cape West Coast:

• Investigate if any travel restrictions apply to your destination and origin before locking in a flight. Also check if there are any requirements you'll need to follow on arrival, such as testing and quarantining.
• You're required to wear a face mask throughout your travel experience, including at screening checkpoints. You should be prepared to adjust your mask for identification purposes when asked by a TSA officer.
• Avoid handing your boarding pass directly to a TSA officer. Instead, you should place the pass on the scanner and then hold it up so the agent can inspect it.
• TSA now allows passengers to take one container of hand sanitizer, up to 12 oz (350 ml) in size, in carry-on luggage. This will have to be removed from your bag for X-ray scanning.
• Remove items from your pockets, like your small change and phone, and place them in your carry-on rather than the bins. This will minimize handling during screening.
• Transport all food items in a clear plastic bag and also put them in a screening bin. Keeping food separate from your carry-on makes it less likely that a TSA employee will need to open and touch your bag for inspection.
