The staff really were 10/10. The hotel is so lovely and the food is amazing! I was so sad to leave. I would say best treatment from staff I’ve ever experienced at a hotel.
The room was very clean and charming, the staff very friendly and the location and views stunning.

We are avid international travelers and this is one of the best hotels we’ve ever stayed at. Amazing value for the price. Our meals here were better than anything else we ate in Cape Town, especially the beautiful breakfast buffet. All of the staff are amazingly kind and hospitable, and the grounds and rooms are gorgeous with all the amenities you’d expect of a 5 star hotel. Such an intimate and curated experience. We can’t wait to come back to Cape Town to stay here again!
The Dorp Hotel was amazing. Friendly staff, delicious food and lovely, comfortable rooms.

Incredible stay! We stayed at Dorp for the first 3 nights of our honeymoon as soon as we arrived from the UK and it was the perfect place to start our trip. We stayed in the Onderdorp Wing and were given an absolutely beautiful room with Table Mountain views and a lovely fireplace we were able to light on chilly mornings. Megan and the team were wonderful and we appreciated having a bottle of bubbly waiting for us on arrival and a lovely card from the hotel for our honeymoon. Everything about this hotel is absolutely perfect from the breakfast, to the grounds, to the architecture. We found the location to be convenient and used uber to get everywhere, but also appreciated that it was outside of the busy city area. We will be back!
Another visit to the fantastic Dorp which has become our home from home in Cape Town. The views are amazing, the style is exceptional, the rooms beautiful and the staff delightful. If you want to feel valued and part of the Dorp family this place is for you.
The DORP is truly one of the most exceptional, and exceptionally unique hotels I've ever stayed in, and I dream of returning to Cape Town just to luxuriate on the property and in the magical views of the city that the DORP provides.
Everyone who works there is wonderful – it feels like a truly happy environment – and the dynamic among the guests and staff often feels like one of extended family. There is a sign in the lounge area - Check Your Privilege - which feels truly acknowledged and adhered to.
The views -- the VIEWS. This hotel was built nestled into the side of a mountain, the property itself is stunning and so meandering, so interesting, and it looks out onto all of Cape Town, from the water to Table Mountain and beyond.
The rooms are decorated beautifully. The food is exceptional – I particularly loved the breakfast out on the patio each morning. (Gorgeous selection of fruits, proteins, yogurts, pastries, and delicious fresh multigrain bread).
I had one issue with my room where I requested a shower not a bath (some rooms have both, some have one or the other), and they were wonderfully accommodating in moving me as soon as was possible.
I cannot recommend this place enough.
I just can't say enough good about this hotel. The staff were so friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Our room was spotless and very well appointed. It was quiet and luxurious to sleep in. The dining room is fantastic and the food was wonderful!! It has become my favorite hotel at the present time! You won't be disappointed. Thank you Dorp.

Best views + food in the city!
One of the coolest hotels I've ever stayed out. The food, service, vibes AND views are the best in the city. Not to miss when you got to Cape Town
This hotel feels like stepping into a wonderland, from the moment you climb the incredibly steep street to get to the front doors. There you find a friendly welcome, a funky room key, and a walk through a beautiful garden to whatever beautiful section of the property you are lucky to be in. I stayed in "Arcadia", aptly named, with the most magnificent balcony and view of the mountains I have ever had. The quirky, relaxed, and chic style is apparent in the fabrics and furniture. The bed is comfortable, the bathroom is glorious. Books are everywhere, and a sense of humour prevails - take a closer look at all the pictures and you will know what I mean. The staff are fabulous. I only wished I could have stayed for weeks, not just one night. Oh, and do eat here. The breakfast is divine and included, but do have dinner here, too. The food is delicious, the service impeccable, and the view unparalleled.
