Winter Family Vacation
My family and I came here to celebrate my daughter’s birthday, and to get a little downtime before the holidays. The house and grounds are great! It was clean with plenty to do and I especially loved the added Christmas decorations. The house was well stocked and cute and cozy. The handheld shower in the closet tub took a bit of getting used to but we managed to fine. It’s close to a lot of fun hill country adventures and there is a state park a half a mile away. Anna was great to work with and friendly. I would highly recommend this location!

Great location, Ample outdoor room
The property is located closer to Canyon Lake than any other property we found. Indoors were nice and mostly as described. There is a multitude of outdoor seating areas and grilling area and pets would love this place. The cooling inside was way better than the listing suggests. Outdoors are so nicely wooded that we were able to spend a lot of time outside on an otherwise hot summer evening and saw deer and some interesting reptiles we spent a lot of time watching. The hot tub button did not work and eventually talked to the manager and was guided to the controls that got things working. The access key could use some more detailed instructions on which one to use (there were two keying areas on each entry) and it needed multiple tries to get unlocked since it was sensitive to the timing (the manager helped over the phone). Overall, our group of 3 families and dog had an amazing time at this property. This has nothing to do with the property but we meant to go to Paddle Canyon Lake but the lot filled up fast and were diverted to the main Canyon Lake Beach area which was a less than ideal beach.

Perfect Spacious Getaway

We love the whole thing. It was all what we expected.
This trip was for mine and my husband birthday and we had a blast not having people around and relaxing. And have time alone with my honey. we will be coming back but for longer next time.

Great cabin for relaxing family getaway. Large property with plenty of available activities. Close proximity to many day trips to Texas towns & San Antonio. We'd stay again. *upgrades on cookware & kitchen utensils, measuring cups/spoons is recommended.

Cozy Vacation Rental
Great property! We stayed so we could be close to the venue for our daughter’s wedding. There was ample room for the bridesmaids to stay with us. The home is very rustic and quaint. also very close to the lake so we spent the rest of the weekend on the water relaxing.

Great fun
This is an adorable cabin. The two cabins are perfect, clean and comfortable. The property is fabulous. We especially loved the porch swings. It was too hot for the hot tub and the fire pit, but we loved sitting outside at night looking at the stars. We saw deer, foxes, and armadillo. It was perfect!!

Quiet rustic getaway for our family vacay
The two cabins were perfect for our family vacay with our three adult children, their partners and our three grandchildren; perfect for our activities on Canyon Lake, Comal river and Schlitterbahn New Braunfels. Quiet multi acre lot full of trees and perfect for the two dogs…and separate cabin helped with privacy…outdoor areas were perfect and we loved our stay

Very nice cabin
This cabin is absolutely adorable, clean, and well-maintained. There are two flat screen TVs, lots of books, and plenty of board games. The yard is huge and there is a fenced “dog run” that is as large as any public dog park. We were disappointed to find out the day before we checked in that the hot tub was broken. That was a major reason we rented this property. Once we got over that, we really enjoyed our stay.

Our group is a group of people who became friends back in the early 80’s while attending college
We met at Grambling State University and have remained friends for over 35 years. This weekend was designed for us to relax and get away from our professions and hectic schedules. We certainly picked the right place and property to do so. This place is spectacular and soooooo serene. Annette was a gem to me prior to our arrival and all the way through our check out day. I highly recommend this place for any occasion!

Fantastic little getaway

These cabins are in a great location to all small towns
These cabins were great for our family : 8 in big cabin and 3 in the other. It was a quick drive to all the cute surrounding towns. Had many nights out back by the fire making s’mores and visiting. The fenced in area in the bag yard was a great bonus for our pups

We were unable to use entire property due to a lot of spiders
Renting the property ,no issues easy process- code provided was incorrect we had to call property manager - lock on door was a little hard - property manager knew I think they should fix it !Also we ended up all staying in the main cabin due to spiders with in 5 minutes we killed more than 10 spiders. It was a little inconvenient- recommending to take of the issue

Great location and setup!!
Spent the back half of spring break here and it was fantastic. Kids loved the open area out back and using the hot tub. The fire pit was awesome to come home to each night. Plenty of family activities within 30 minute drive. Property manager contacted us on the day of checkin and was quick to respond with a couple questions. Highly recommend this cabin.

The property itself is great! it was cozy and relaxing. there was dirty dishes put up and trash in and around the property that was not picked up which was not a big deal, we picked it up. The pull out mattress in the living room from the sofa on the other hand is horrible It is worn out and all the framed pushes up against your body and the same thing with other smaller futon. the hot tub wouldn't get hot even after looking up instructions online and messing with it for over an hour. We didn't get to enjoy it after all. the ice maker didn't work and the Wi-Fi would not work all the time. But the cabin and atmosphere are worth overlooking that stuff. Thanks!

Great place to stay for a family gathering at Canyon Lake!
We really enjoyed the time we spent at the property. The owner was very friendly and helpful. Spent some quality time with my family. Had a camp fire every night and barbeques. We plan on going back.

Great Property with all that we needed
This is a great property to rent in the Canyon Lake/Hill Country area. It has two cabins, the main one with 2br and an adjacent cabin with 1br that is really spacious. We had everything we needed and they stay was pleasant. Only two things keep me from the 5 star review: The bathroom on the main cabin has no shower, only a bathtub with one of those extendable hand showers. I really have a hard time using those things. Second the A/C was not working properly, luckily the weather was fine this spring and I just had to open the windows. I hope they fix it before the summer really kicks in.

Great spot for a weekend getaway from Austin!
Decided to spend my birthday here at the cabins with some family and friends. The check in was super easy and painless. We had everything we needed for a comfortable stay including firewood. We brought all of our pets over too! They have a huge dog run that’s fully fenced in for the pups to play in. The jacuzzi was sooooo nice and was able to fit like 6 people snug. Overall, a wonderful stay and would love to visit again in the spring or summer!

Our Canyon Lake experience was Soo great,Coming from the city and choatic life schedules.
From the drive up the road to the Cabin to our last family picture on the front porch, our total experience with nature and slow motion living was a Blast! I totally over packed, their was plenty dishes, pots,flatware, linens, blankets and pillows. Ohh and the grandkids loved the deers walking around the yard and the nitely family campfires at the fire pit!! And everyone must visit nearby Gruene Tx, plenty shopping, walking,eating and great outdoor scenery with old world charm!!

Remote hill country cabin only minutes away from Austin or San Antonio
Excellent location, great cabin, spacious land, and economical. Our family (kids 18, 14, & 11) had a fantastic time in Canyon Lake. We rented a boat on Canyon Lake, shopped in Wimberely, and visited the many parks on Canyon Lake. At the cabin, we grilled steaks and hamburgers, made smores every night in the fire pit, and played cards, dominos and board games. Although the cabin has wifi, the kids were disconnected from the digital world for at least a few hours a day. :) The owners were extremely responsive to our needs. Highly recommend this place for families looking to escape the city or play on the lake.
