Lovely location in the heart of the Canterbury. The owners are very nice and are attentive and on hand for anything we needed. 10/10 customer service. However the room was a bit run down. Mirror wonky, towel rail coming off the wall and the large bed is broken underneath. It was however a great stopover and introduction to Canterbury.

We had a two night stay at this guesthouse and for the price we paid had no real complaints. The room was small but adequate for our needs. However, street noise during the night can be problematic there was also a problem with the radiator making it unbearably hot during the night. A basic breakfast is provided which may not suite everyone but was just enough to get us started for the day. The staff member on duty was pleasant, friendly and helpful. A nice touch was the discounted and the vicinity of the nearby car park.

It is a beautiful, authentic old building in the city center. For this reason, it is naturally also narrow and winding. We had a wonderful stay and the staff, Mr. Sanjeewa, was very friendly, courteous, and always helpful. Thank you very much!

This place has a brilliant location, staff were fantastic and very helpful, but just please stop with the air freshners or whatever they are using, its so overpowering, and not nice, also I think people can handle old decor etc, just dont add bling to the old, why not get an interior designer pay them and get their help, it could be so cute, leave the old beams and old features, just take out the spangled headboards and blingy pictures, and please please please stop with the pungent air "freshners" also please toss the bed pillows,.... I dont want to knock this place because the location is great, and the staff member we met was amazing, just stop with the bling, get someone to help with the design and it could be great, beds were clean,

A great location in the centre of Canterbury. The owner is most welcoming and kind. The rooms are comfortable and clean. Breakfast is continental with lots of choice to eat in or take away. I recommend this property for a value for money city stay

Typical old lodge building in Canterbury so expect and old building. Excellent location right in middle of high street, but off to the side in a street so not too noisy. Sanjeewa the hotel manager was excellent and could not be more helpful.

Sanjeewa was very welcoming when we arrived. The hotel and rooms desperately need updating the tv didn’t work in our room, also the taps were loose and the holder for the shower was broken, however the bedding, towels were spotless and the hotel is in an excellent location. Breakfast was continental and was constantly topped up. Understand this is an old building but a bit of updating would make all the difference.

Really friendly staff. Customer service was excellent. The rooms are quite compact but are well suited to single or two-night stays in the city. The location is right in the heart of the city within easy walking distance of the museum and Marlowe theatre.

The hotel is in a great location and the solo member of staff is friendly and helpful and works hard. The hotel itself, however, is tired and poorly maintained. It was a cramped room, the shower was held up by a bit of plastic, and there was hardly any water from it. The bathroom was tiny. For a quick cheap night it’s passable, but any longer than that would not be recommended.

This property is perfectly located in the centre of Canterbury and extremely well priced. You are within walking distance of everything you want to visit. The rooms are small but adequate for a short stay. My only gripe is the low pressure on the shower. The breakfast was fine and certainly set us up for the day. Sanjeewa the host is a real pleasure. He was always available and was constantly checking that everything was okay. He is worked to the bone and is a real gem for the property owners.

The cold tap in en-suite was loose and the macerater toilet was very noisy. Sanjeewa was very kind and helpful he seemed to be the only staff there. The breakfast was basic but very nice.

The place was really calm and peaceful. My room was very cozy and clean. A special thanks to Mr Sanjeewa who is the property manager. He was very polite, friendly and helpful. He even allowed us to keep the luggage in a safe space in the lodge itself after checkout that may we could finish our lunch before we leave Canterbury. Will recommend the place to others.
