- Welcome to Canadian Rockies Chalets — Canmore's ORIGINAL short-term rental building.
Which means two things: The location is phenomenal. The mountain views are stunning.
This three bedroom mountain retreat sits in the heart of Canmore with stunning Rocky Mountain views, walkable access to downtown, and enough space for families, friends, ski gear, hiking gear, and at least one person who “just needs a weekend away.”
Unlike most vacation rental descriptions written by what appears to be a Corporate SubCommittee with standard Real Estate adjectives, we like to celebrate being ourselves. Rockies Rentals -- funny, easy going, a wee bit sarcastic, and 100% committed to welcoming visitors to the mountains.

The layout was carefully chosen to help families and friends spend time together — without feeling like sardines trapped in a luxury-themed escape room.

But if something goes sideways, we respond quickly, communicate clearly, and work hard to get your vacation back on track.
After this many years in mountain hospitality, we've handled just about everything: weather delays, appliance meltdowns, plumbing chaos, forgotten ski gear, accidental lockouts, surprise illnesses, and at least one deeply emotional dishwasher situation.
At the end of the day, staying with Rockies Rentals feels less like interacting with a corporation and more like staying at the home of a very organized family member who genuinely wants you to have a good vacation.
If you expect absolute perfection in every moment, we may not be the right fit. But if you're easy-going, well-travelled, mildly obsessed with mountain towns, and capable of appreciating both movie quotes and practical hospitality?
You'll probably fit right in.

Frankly, we're still confused why this isn't standard practice everywhere. But it's available in Canmore, and that is where you are heading. So yay!!
DISCLOSURES:
→ Town of Canmore Business License #TBA
→ May 11-June 5, 2026: The Living Room Balcony for all units are being redone, and are closed due to not having a railing. The Front Balcony is available.
→ May 15-October 15 Annually: This property does not currently have central AC. Fans are provided, and the unit is kept comfortable using airflow and strategic curtain management worthy of a small tactical operation.
→ As of May 19, 2026: Bedroom 1 was changed from one king bed to one DOUBLE bed and one set of Bunk Beds (Upper and LOWER)
→ As of May 19, 2026: Bedroom 2 was changed from one double bed to one KING Bed.
→ As of May 31, 2026: The property was repainted and an updated décor refresh to bring things a little further into this century. New Photos will be added once available. For now, just trust us that it is MUCH nicer than the photos.
→ November 1-30, 2026: Planned main floor renovation including new kitchen, flooring, bathroom fixtures, and additional updates.
→ Trains are a factor of life in all Canadian mountain towns. From the very beginning Canmore was built around the train line, including 90% of the local hotels and condos in town, which means that this property is along a train line. Watching the trains go past is actually quite fascinating and not just for the train buffs! Please read our guest reviews for previous insight.
