extremely touristy and crowded in the afternoon - try to go off peak! it's very beautiful but definitely gets overcrowded.

Popular places to visit

This was our favourite viewpoint of Sete Cidades. A short hike that our guide had previously refused to tell us about, even when I asked about all the cars parked seemingly in the middle of nowhere. It simply wasn't one of his stops. Tours all go to Vista do Rei, which is nice, but this is nicer, especially if the weather isn't sunny.
