Loved this VRBO, when you first walk in there’s a little sign saying Nana’s House, and it feels just like you are staying with family. Everything we needed was right there. It is such a quiet area, in the country. Felt safe and like home. Will definitely stay again if we do the dog show here next year.
We had such a lovely Staye my five-year-old granddaughter was sad to leave even though we only stayed one night. Charming, warm, clean, and exactly what we needed.
We had friends in from out of town, and had one night stay at Elaine’s immaculately clean home. It has everything we needed, plus it was only 20 min away from most things we wanted to do in Asheville. We will stay here again.
Our family with 3 adults and 3 young children had a comfortable stay! Loved wandering the farm afterward. Kitchen was well-appointed, and whole house was spotless. Many thanks!
Ms. Sutton was very helpful with our stay. We and our dog had lots of fun checking on the fenced goats, cows, chickens.
Wonderful local restaurants, access to Asheville highlights, Blue Ridge walks, views.
We had a wonderful experience staying in this little cottage. It was just as the vrbo described and nestled in a beautiful valley. It was extremely clean and i felt comfortable there with my two middle school aged boys and elderly mother. Located only 15 minutes from Biltmore this was a quiet place to rest but bot far from restaurants and shopping. And there were goats!
The house was nice and as expected. Clean for the most part but blinds in the bathroom were dirty and under the stove hood was dirty but the rest was clean . The stove should be replaced, it doesn't function totally . The setting was very nice and the host seemed very friendly .
Great price and location for a short weekend trip. Older house but it provided all of our needs and worked for our family.
Not too far from grocery or other needs and a short drive to Asheville.
We came to the area to enjoy the fall color, but we needed to find a place that was completely accessible to my husband, who is mobility challenged. This house completely met out needs; but even if that had not been a necessity for us, we would have thoroughly enjoyed it’s quiet and peaceful location. It will be our go-to place if we are ever in the area again.
Exceptional place to stay while visiting Asheville!
A very peaceful, relaxing place to call home when visiting Asheville. Extremely convenient to the area’s attractions and a fabulous super market, Ingle’s, just a few minutes away. Elaine is a wonderful host! Our adult son needs a wheelchair to get around, and we found this cottage very accommodating for all his needs. We had four adults plus our son and had ample room. We enjoyed watching the cows, goats and chickens graze and entertaining us.
We enjoyed our stay. The house is very clean, cozy and comfortable. We enjoyed sitting on the front porch and enjoy the fall colors. Seeing the animals was a highlight also. Elaine is a tremendous and caring hostess. We enjoyed getting to meet and talk with you Elaine. We highly recommend this rental. If we are ever in the area again this will be our choice.
So incredibly peaceful! Close enough to all that Asheville has to offer, yet an idyllic rural setting. Friendly neighbors who walk most evenings with their dogs or just one another along the road.
House is PERFECT for those with mobility challenges - everything is ramped, there is a walk/roll in shower with a pull down bench. Clean, nicely detailed, friendly and responsive host. I've stayed here twice so far - and imagine I will be back again. Great for one or two couples, an individual, or a small family. My 6 yr old grandson loved staying there with me last summer!
We've stayed at several different rental properties in the Asheville area, and this is easily one of our favorites - it feels like staying at the home of a friend, not a hotel or a condo. If you want cookie-cutter, recently-flipped amd all-grey color scheme, this place is NOT for you. If you're looking for quiet comfort, a HOME with character, and a short easy drive to any necessity, then this is your spot!
(If I could add anything to my wishlist, it would be a few additional pots and pans and cooking equipment, but who goes to Asheville to eat at home, you might ask!)
Nice place to stay and was very close to our activities for the weekend. Would love to have hiked but the weather did not cooperate for that!. Would stay here again.
It was a property that was excellent for handicapped accessible people. When the electricity went out due to a storm, Elaine came over and brought lights that were battery powered.
