"This home was truly the highlite of our trip to The Canary Islands. The location is nestled in the hills of Tegueste amongst small farms and vinyards. There are plenty of local stores and resturants with in a short drive. The neighbors and locals were so welcoming and friendly even with my lack of spanish. "Marcos and Karin are phenomenal hosts. They go out of their way to make sure that your stay is as comfortable as possible. I was traveling alone but when they saw I was up to socialize, we had many great evenings chatting over wine. The property is better than the photos, it is beautiful and quiet and overlooks amazing scenery. They are thoughtful in their details and clearly care about the property and experience. I cannot say enough good things, just go find out for yourself!"

"A great place to stay with a great host. The apartment is just a few miles from the coast and so it was a few degrees cooler and therefore much more pleasant than down on the main resorts. It also has amazing views of the coast. The apartment was clean, spacious and well-equipped. We enjoyed using the gardens around the apartment and the good sized swimming pool. "We had a wonderful time in Maria & Carlos's house, everything was perfect, it could not be better. We enjoyed the quietness of the village, the nice welcome of Carlos, the great view from the terrace , the beautiful garden... In december, having the stove is really nice and a wonderful experience ! The heating blanket in the parents'bedroom is great as well! "Perfect place to have access to trails. Transport is essential and suggest a small car as the roads are very narrow and lots of bends. We loved the villa and it’s very well equipped with a great wee pool for your aching legs after trail walking."

"Famara is beautiful but the apartment was very disappointing. The 'double' bed is tiny, hardly big enough for 2 slim people & the twin beds had old bobbly sheets & pillowcases & not nice to the touch. The 'sofa' was not comfortable & the kitchen, dining, lounge space is very tight. The next door neighbours had a young puppy crying in their back yard day & night & as animal lovers listening to this right outside the bedroom window was very upsetting."

"We really enjoyed our stay at Ursula's place. Ursula made us feel very welcome, with wine, chocolates and a dessert and making sure that we had everything we needed for our holiday. She was a very thoughtful host. The location is quiet, with far-reaching views from the terrace and some excellent restaurants nearby. "The property was perfect in every way. Unfortunately the satnav couldn't find the house. We phoned the owner who didn't speak English and I don't speak Spanish. We found a taxi rank and asked them to take us and we would follow and pay them. He couldn't find it either, so he spoke to the owner who came and met us and we followed him. He was very helpful - considering it was now midnight!! Other than this everything else was great. A very steep climb down to the town."

"A wonderfully characterful place to stay , charmingly decorated with stunning views over to La Gomera. It's on a peaceful banana plantation and a short walk to the sea where there are tidal pools and beaches for swimming. The nearby (unspoilt) town of Alcalá is a pleasant 15 minute walk along the coast. A perfect place to unwind. The hosts provide you with free bananas, papaya and even shared organic vegetables from their garden."

"Lovely, stylish old house, just right size for a couple. Kitchen is small but equipped well enough for cooking, shower is great, terrace is great for eating and sunbathing, and it even has a washing machine. Track to the house is a bit of a drive, so allow bit of extra time to go out. Only thing I'd suggest adding are some wine glasses and a cork screw! oh and another dinner plate. Would book again :)"

"Had a wonderful, relaxing holiday in this villa. Very clean and comfortable. Plenty of crockery, glasses and kitchen equipment. House was pretty cool without the need for air con. Great quiet, private location with really good WiFi in the house and garden. Pool lovely and clean with plenty or sun loungers. "Very happy with our stay in this property. Although basic it was adequately furnished for our needs. Aldea blanco is perfectly placed for beach or exploring the island. Aldi, Lidl and many other stores close by. Airport 10 minutes away. Ignore previous comments regarding dogs barking. We stayed 3 weeks and this was never an issue. Before leaving we didn’t hesitate to book for next winter"
