"We were the first guests to stay at this beautiful home. It is out in the country, and has wonderful views of the countryside and old Rende. Our host, Rossana, met us at the house and showed us everything we needed to know. She speaks fluent Italian (which we do not) and English (which we do). "Calabria is a province of hilltop villages and just outside San Vincenzo La Costa is this peaceful mountain refuge. The driveway is daunting at first but passable in any car and easy once you have done it. Host Claudia stocked the place with jam, bread and coffee and did everything to make me feel at home. There is great hiking from the house and even better a short drive away, and it easy to access all the wonders of Calabria in an hours drive in any direction. I cannot wait to come back."

"We met with the owners sister who spoke good english and was very nice, so our check in went smoothly. The apartment was beautiful, and the owner went well above standards by furnishing breakfast and coffee. The entire setting up on a hill overlooking the valley and surrounding hills was very beautiful. We highly recommend this property!"

"The place is very clean, quiet, spacious and lovely. Angela was very kind, helpful, always checked in to make sure we had everything we needed and made us very very comfortable. Honestly she and her daughter are very lovely ladies who show you the most welcoming side of Italy. I feel like I made two friends. That’s how incredible they were. The kids loved them too and she made them some lovely Food that they will be asking for again and again only it won’t be available back home haha."
