Masía con encanto pero se percibe falta de mantenimiento. Precio excesivo para el estado de la casa.

La masía es preciosa y los espacios exteriores e interiores son espectaculares, pero se percibe falta en mantenimiento y limpieza (se tuvo que arreglar un tema del baño y se hizo una nueva limpieza durante la estancia). Hay varias viviendas en el mismo recinto (compartiendo pared, aunque con espacios exteriores diferenciados) y está situada al lado de la autovía, aunque tampoco hay ruido excesivo. Hemos pasado unos días estupendos en familia, disfrutando de la zona que es preciosa (pueblos, calas, etc), pero hay aspectos a mejorar en la casa, teniendo en cuenta el precio.

Les photos et l’annonce correspondent très bien à la réalité. Nous avons passé d’excellentes vacances où tout le confort est à portée. De plus, l’acceuil et les conseils sur les activités étaient au rendez-vous.

I would highly recommend Gustavo's farmhouse for a relaxing holiday in the Costa Brava.

Gustavo was a great host who communicated really well before our stay, he picked us up from the nearby petrol station to take us to the farmhouse. He also recommended some great place to eat and visit close by. The farmhouse is absolutely wonderful. It was super clean and beautifully renovated, and tastefully and comfortably furnished. We loved the attention to detail throughout the house, the beautiful doors, stone floors etc. The bedrooms were kept cool during the night, by rotary fans, and the beds were really comfortable. The kitchen was really well equipped and functional, and even had a range gas cooker, which we were really happy about. The covered outside eating area was perfect for al fresco eating, which we did every night when we stayed at home to cook. The pool area is lovely and the pool is kept clean, the covered dining area and lounge area near the pool are also lovely spaces to relax and enjoy a few drinks. Cologne is a great base to explore the area from, there are lots of supermarkets close by, and a Municipal market in Palamos, where we bought fresh seafood. There are some beautiful little coves (cala) close by, ( 5 minutes drive) I would highly recommend Cala Cap Roig, there's a lovely beach bar, which served the best Sangrias ever, and it's perfect for snorkelling. Cala Del Paller is also very lovely. Girona is definitely worth a visit, its about half hours drive inland. We would definitely love to return to Gustavo's farmhouse for another holiday.

Beautiful property, fantastic location ....

Two families with range of children from 4-16 stayed at Gustavo's farmhouse and had a truly fantastic and memorable holiday. The house is beautiful, the grounds amazing, the pool lovely, the area has so many beaches/coves/towns/landmarks - a really brilliant place to holiday and will definitely come back here. The waterpark is only 10 mins away also and is one of the best that we have ever been to ... overall 6 out of 5!!!!

A wonderful, shabby chic farmhouse. Loads of space, well equipped and very comfortable.

Our two families had a great stay in the farmhouse. The weather was extremely hot whilst we were there and air conditioning would have been the icing on the cake. The road is close but we weren't bothered by the noise-think we made more!! Gustavo was very friendly and helpful. Thank you x

Cadre et maison magnifique !!

Endroit magnifique, maison propre et avec tout le nécessaire pour passer de bonnes vacances! Le propriétaire est sympathique et accueillant. On s’est régalé, on repart avec des bons souvenirs, je recommande les yeux fermés. Vraiment un super endroit !

Great location and amazing property!

This location was ideal and centrally located to everything we needed and wanted to visit - France, beaches, medieval towns, grocery stores and restaurants. The host was superb in providing recommendations, and very accommodating. The house was very clean. The property itself was beautiful and exactly what we were looking for in a villa in the countryside!

Excelente casa pero con particularidades

Reservé la casa con varios amigos para hacer nuestra reunión anual de verano y la verdad es que estuvimos a gusto pero creo que, en caso de repetir en Platja d'Aro, buscaríamos otro alojamiento. Cosas buenas: la casa es preciosa y muy grande. Es perfecta para hacer este tipo de eventos, disfrutar de hacer cosas en la propia vivienda o en el enorme jardín y espectacular piscina. Gustavo (propietario) fue muy amable con nosotros y atento en todo momento, aunque -por suerte- no necesitamos nada de él. Está bien conectada con todo y cerca del centro de Platja d'Aro (unos diez minutos en coche). El salón es enorme y permite hacer muchas actividades. Cosas malas: la casa tenía unos pequeños desperfectos (ligeras goteras en una de las habitaciones, tapa de uno de los lavabos no colocada, uno de los asientos del jardín roto) que, si bien son pequeños y no influyen mucho en la estancia, uno espera no encontrar tras pagar una alta cantidad de dinero. Por otra parte, y para mí lo peor, es lo siguiente: la casa principal (la que alquilas) comparte la piscina con una casa que está pegada con la casa principal. Gustavo nos indicó que, lo más probable es que cuando nosotros estuviéramos en la casa no hubiera nadie en esa segunda vivienda, pero que, en caso de estar ocupada, deberíamos respetar el descanso de los vecinos. En principio no era un problema pero al llegar nos encontramos con que la casa estaba conectada interiormente y que esa segunda casa no era una vivienda vacía que también alquilaban a turistas, sino que es la casa de su familia y estuvieron ahí tanto el viernes como el sábado. No hay problema; ni nos cruzamos pero creo que es algo que se debería explicar claramente a los usuarios puesto que no es lo mismo; no tienes la misma privacidad. Creo que sería mejor decirlo abiertamente y explicar las cosas como son antes de alquilar y no una vez llegas a la casa. En nuestro caso, de haberlo sabido, nos habríamos buscado otra vivienda. Es un detalle importante para nosotros y que no nos ha terminado de gustar. Pero repito, no ha supuesto ningún problema.

Wunderschönes altes Haus

Das Haus ist wirklich wunderschön. Es hat viel Charakter, ist liebevoll eingerichtet. Es bietet sehr viel Platz, alle Schlafzimmer sind hübsch eingerichtet, die Badezimmer auch. Wir waren als Gruppe dort, 3 Familien mit Kindern und wir hatten sehr viel Platz dort, uns zu verteilen und um zusammenzusitzen. Die Küche ist wunderbar ausgestattet und bietet genug Geschirr für so viele Leute. Als Pluspunkt möchte ich noch erwähnen, dass jeden Tag eine Putzfrau kam, was bei so vielen Leuten recht angenehm ist. Vor dem Haus ist eine große Wiese, die auch im Sommer grün ist, da sie nachts gesprengt wird. Dann kommt der Pool, man kann ihn vom Haus aus sehen. Der Pool wird auch regelmäßig gereinigt. Der Ort Calonge ist auch recht hübsch und unaufgeregt. Der Vermieter war sehr hilfreich und hat alle unsere Fragen gleich (telefonisch) beantwortet.

Best stay in wonderful house and great area

We are two families who just came home after spending a fantastic week in this wonderful house. All we can say is that we give this rental our warmest recommendations. The house and the surroundings make up the perfect setting for a great get-away. On top of that, Gustavo was a perfect and attentive host, always happy to make sure that we had a great stay. Perfect!!!

We loved our stay at the farm house! The house itself was fantastic! Plenty of space, beautiful rooms with so much charm. The garden was large, with a fantastic pool and plenty of areas outside to eat and relax. The area was itself was great too. So many charming villages near by and the beach with plenty restaurants and shops. The owner was so nice and even left us a box of fresh vegetables from his garden. We would highly recommend a vacation here.

Old farmhouse near historic Calonge

We had a great time in this old farmhouse with a fantastic pool. There was plenty of room for the four adults and four children. As the children are young we moved mattresses upstairs rather than using the downstairs bedroom. It is a short walk into nearby Calonge for restaurants, bars and shops and a short drive to San Antoni de Calonge for the beach although the super pretty coves are a little further away. There is some noise from the neighbouring motorway but the surrounding farms make you feel like you're in the middle of nowhere. We'd recommend installing a fan in each bedroom as it can get very warm in the evening and night. Gustavo was very helpful. The pool was cleaned and the villa cleaned during the stay.

Great Location, Great House and great Host !

We rented Gustavo’s house for two weeks in the summer 2016 and had a very good time. The house is perfectly located just out of Cologne in a very nice countryside with an outstanding view on the mountains. Best beaches of Costa Brava are just a few minutes’ drive away. Grocery shopping is very convenient (we shopped at Suma that hold pretty much everything you need) and many restaurants are very easily accessible (try Can Rocket in Romana, it is blast !) The private pool is very pleasant and well maintained by a pool guy that comes regularly. For those of you who have kids, the pool is easily isolated from the rest of the garden so you can enjoy some time on the terrace without the kids being able to access the pool, we were very reassured by this. As the house has been fully renovated lately, the beddings are very recent and comfortable (my wife suffers from back pain and needs a good mattress). The two bathroom nicely equipped, one with a great “walk-in rain shower” and two sinks and one with a nice bath tub. We spent most of our time in the outdoors (very well equipped with a table that can seat > 12 people if you have guests + BBQ and sun beds) but the inside layout is comfortable and nicely arranged with 2 different areas – Kitchen / dining room / living room or second living room). On the activity side, those of you who like to ride bikes (road our mountain) will have dozens of options on the best tracks. Last but not least there are goats at the back of the property which was an amazing daily attraction for the kids. To note : We also rented the 2nd house that Gustavo is renting for one of the two weeks (its actually the same house but well separated) and it is very convenient if you are a large group. Gustavo has been a great host, always making himself available to make sure we were having great vacation. We definitely recommend his houses and will try to come back next year.

Beautiful property

The house was built in 1621, it was nice to stay in such an old property. .. the energy in the house feels really incredible and the space is amazing. Its close to the beach and they have goats, which was a big highlight for our two sons to feed them baguette every day! The rooms are spacious and comfortable, kitchen has all you need for your stay. We liked our choice.
