Casa Melinho Lotus - Refinement Modern and comfortable
Located in Arco da Calheta, this new house was built with the well-being and comfort of its guests in mind. it is situated on a sunny hillside, with stunning views over the sea.
Perfect for those who wish to be in contact with nature, experience the traditional lifestyle of the island, be close to the beach and have access to walking tours enjoying the beautiful landscape of Madeira.

Built with high standards of comfort and modern design, the house has:
- Large bedroom with large double bed.
- Bathroom with shower.
-Living room with sofa bed, cable TV, Hi-fi.
- Kitchen equipped with 3 ring induction hob, oven, microwave, fridge, coffee machine, kettle, toaster, ...
-Outside there is a patio with an outdoor dining area. A garden with beautiful grass, flowers where you can enjoy the calm and relaxing environment while soaking up the sun on the sun loungers. There is also a barbecue area where you will find a brick barbecue table and chairs.
- The house has a park to park the vehicle safely and the access is made through a little busy street.

The house is located in a rural agricultural environment, with beautiful houses some centuries old in stone, where the landscape diversity, the quality of the climate and the Air stand out.
A few minutes walk “800metros” you will find supermarkets, bars, restaurants, pharmacy and bank.
Just "10 min" by car you can visit the tourist area of Calheta, with its golden beach very popular with tourists and locals, the beautiful marina with a good choice of restaurants, bars and a good supermarket. You can also take a boat trip for whale and dolphin watching.
Only "15 min" by car are the beaches and respective terraces of Ponta do sol and Ribeira Brava, Jardim do Mar and Paul do Mar.
Just “15 min” by car is Paul da Serra, 1500 meters above sea level, where you can visit the Laurissilva forest of Madeira (UNESCO World Heritage.)

Madeira Island is known for being a paradise for those who like hiking, and the Arco da Calheta is ideally situated, as it has many levadas (Levada 25 Fontes, levada nova pleasures Ponta do Pargo, Levada do Alecrim lagoa do vento, Levada da red rock,…) and has easy access to the road network and most places on the island.

Aufenthalt Casa Melinho Lotus

Wir hatten einen tollen Aufenthalt in der Casa Melinho Lotus. Die Unterkunft ist modern eingerichtet und bietet einen schönen Blick auf den Ozean. Sie ist etwas kleiner als es auf den Bildern wirkt. Während unseres Aufenthalts gab es eine Baustelle im südlichen Teil des Grundstücks. Darüber wurden wir kurz vor der Anreise informiert. Viele Grüße!

Rundum gelungener Aufenthalt

Wir haben 5 Tage in diesem schönen Ferienhaus verbracht. Dort ist alles, was man braucht. Toll ist die Möglichkeit, auf der Terasse zu frühstücken. Der Meerblick ist recht schmal, aber trotzdem schön. Es herrscht dort absolute Stille, was sehr entspannend ist. Alles in allem sehr zu empfehlen!

Sehr schönes Ferienhaus für 2 Personen

Wir haben einen sehr angenehmen Aufenthalt in João's Haus gehabt. Es ist modern ausgestattet und es ist Alles in einem sehr guten Zustand. Aufgrund seiner Lage eignet sich das Haus sehr gut als Ausgangsbasis für Ausflüge zu allen Teilen der Insel. Die dörfliche Umgebung ist ruhig und man hat einen netten Ausblick auf das Meer, das ca. 15 Autominuten entfernt ist. João ist ein sehr zuvorkommender Vermieter, der auf Anfragen immer schnell geantwortet hat. Die Größe des Hauses Casa Melinho Lotus ist bei FeWo mit 180 m2 angegeben- möglicherweise bezieht sich diese Angabe jedoch auf das ganze Objekt, inklusive der Grundfläche der benachbarten Doppelhaushälfte ? Das Haus das wir bewohnt haben ist kleiner, aber für zwei Personen mehr als ausreichend. Wir würden jederzeit wieder in diesem Haus unseren Urlaub verbringen !

Ruhiges feines Appartment für Zwei

Sehr sauber, sehr modern, super Aussicht und ruhige Lage. Ein guter Ausgangspunkt für Exkursionen nach Funchal und eine kurze Verbindung zum Hochplateau. Und ganz in der Nähe ein Sandstrandbad.

Erholsamer Urlaub in ruhiger Ferienwohnung

Modern eingerichtete Wohnung mit eigenem Garten, Parkplatz und Meerblick. Die Wohnung ist sauber und gepflegt. Vermieter ist freundlich, gut erreichbar, sehr hilfsbereit und achtet auf Privatsphäre. Wohnung liegt in einer sehr ruhigen Wohngegend hoch am Hang. Anfahrt - wie fast überall auf Madeira - nur über sehr steile Straßen möglich. Supermarkt im Dorf. Ohne Auto ist diese Wohnung nicht geeignet. Die Hochebene von Paul da Serra ist über eine steile Straße in 10 Minuten erreicht - der Strand von Calheta in 15 Minuten erreichbar. Wir würden wiederkommen und sagen danke für zwei tolle Ferienwochen.

Sehr schönes Apartment und herzliche Gastgeber

Wir hatten wunderbare zwei Wochen auf Madeira in diesem schönen Apartment. Sehr gemütlich und sowohl stil- als auch liebevoll eingerichtet, alles wirkt noch sehr neu. Jeder Tag begann mit einem Frühstück auf der schönen Terrasse mit Blick aufs Meer, und auch sonst hatte die Wohnung alles, was wir so brauchten. Außer vielleicht eine Waschmaschine, aber Handwäsche war möglich in einem kleinen Waschbecken im Innenhof; einen Wäscheständer gab es auch. Den Grill im Innenhof haben wir nicht benutzt, aber auch dafür war alles vorhanden. Zusammenfassend kann man jedenfalls sagen, dass alles genauso schön wie auf den Bildern im Inserat war. Grund für den einen Stern Abzug bei der Sauberkeit ist, dass manches Geschirr in der Küche vom vorigen Gast nicht sauber abgewaschen wurde; die elektrische Orangenpresse (eigentlich toll, dass sowas vorhanden ist), war voller verschimmelter Reste, ist nach unserem Besuch aber jetzt erstmal wieder sauber ;) Unsere Gastgeber João und Odete waren sehr herzlich und unkompliziert - wir kamen spät vom Flughafen und wurden mit einem selbstgebackenen Kuchen und frischem Obst aus der Region begrüßt und mit den wichtigsten Infos zu Einkaufsmöglichkeiten, Sehenswürdigkeiten etc. versorgt. Der Abzug bei Lage & Umgebung erklärt sich dadurch, dass man auf jeden Fall ein Auto braucht, um vom Apartment wo auch immer hin zu kommen. Ein Minimarkt zum Einkaufen war das einzige, das fußläufig (über eine sehr steile Straße) zu erreichen war. Supermarkt, Strand, Restaurants waren durch die Lage des Apartments sehr weit oben im Ort ausschließlich mit Auto erreichbar - oder mit viel Zeit und guter Kondition, das haben wir aber nur einmal gemacht. Aber dafür war die Umgebung herrlich ruhig - perfekt zum Erholen nach den ereignisreichen Ausflügen auf die ganze Insel. Und Arco da Calheta ist äußerst günstig gelegen, wenn man in den Wandergebieten um Rabacal unterwegs ist. In jedem Fall empfiehlt sich aber ein Auto mit möglichst nicht dem schwächsten Motor, da die Steigungen zum Teil für unseren Mietwagen fast nur im ersten Gang zu bewältigen waren. Insgesamt als ruhige und schöne Zuhause-Insel während des Urlaubs eine klare Empfehlung.

Toller Urlaub in super Unterkunft

Wir haben im April 2019 eine gute Woche unserer Madeira Ferien im Casa Melinho Lotus verbracht und hatten dort eine sehr schöne Zeit. Es ist alles so, wie es in der Anzeige und auch bereits in anderen Bewertungen beschrieben ist. Das Apartment bzw. genaugenommen ist es eine Doppelhaushälfte, ist modern und komfortabel eingerichtet. Die Küchenausstattung ist top. Der kleine Garten ein Traum, super zum Entspannen. Der Kontakt mit dem Gastgeber war sehr freundlich und Check-in/-out haben unkompliziert funktioniert. Die Lage ist ruhig und entspannend, ein Auto ist allerdings sehr empfehlenswert. Sollten wir mal wieder in Madeira in diese Gegend Urlaub machen, werden wir hier wieder anfragen. Ein einziger kleiner Hinweis bzw. Vorschlag für den Vermieter: Da es draußen doch noch kälter war, als erwartet, empfehlen wir die Anschaffung eines kleinen Heizgerätes für’s Badezimmer. Insbesondere für’s Trocknen der Handtücher sinnvoll. (Ist natürlich bei wärmeren Temperaturen für die meisten Monate irrelevant.)

Wir haben den Aufenthalt sehr genossen. Die Unterkunft ist ideal für zwei Personen, sehr sauber und gut ausgestattet. Der Kontakt zum Vermieter war nett und unkompliziert. Rückfragen wurden stets schnell per Mail beantwortet. In der Nähe befindet sich ein kleiner Supermarkt, der für den täglichen Einkauf völlig ausreichend ist. Idealer Ausgangspunkt um die ganze Insel zu erkunden. Wir können die Unterkunft nur empfehlen.

Süßes, geschmackvolles, top-ausgestattetes Haus, ideal für 2 Personen, Top-Gastgeber

Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt absolut genossen! Das Haus ist sehr geschmackvoll, hochwertig und komplett ausgestattet. Es überzeugt durch seine moderne Architektur, Helligkeit und klaren Linien. Es liegt in absoluter Ruhelage (keine bellenden Hunde!) oberhalb von Loreto in der Gemeinde Arco da Calheta, Parkplatz direkt vor dem Haus. Innerhalb weniger Minuten ist man auf der Via Expresso, daher ideal für die Entdeckung der Insel. Geschäfte und Restaurants sind schnell erreichbar. Alles ist außerordentlich sauber, gepflegt, geschmackvoll und absolut komplett ausgestattet! Im Wohnbereich befindet sich eine wirklich top-ausgestattete und moderne Küche, in der man uneingeschränkt kochen kann. Auch auf die kleinen Details, die in anderen Ferienimmobilien oft übersehen werden, wird hier geachtet. So gibt es wirklich alles an Kochutensilien und Geschirr aber auch mehr als genug Geschirrtücher, Tischsets, usw.! Wirklich top! Reise- und Wanderführer vorhanden. Das Schlafzimmer ist groß, mit einem sehr bequemen Bett und großem Schrank ausgestattet. Auch hier merkt man die Liebe zum Detail: ausreichend Kissen, Zusatzdecke, etc. Das Bad ist modern mit einer sehr angenehmen Regenwalddusche. Schöner kleiner Garten mit hochwertigen Gartenmöbeln und toller Aussicht. Es gibt einen elektrischen Heizradiator, mit dem man an den kühleren Tagen schnelle Wärme hat. Kurz gesagt: Absolute Empfehlung! Vielen Dank an den Besitzer für dieses tolle Haus, den angenehmen und unkomplizierten Kontakt und die herzliche Gastfreundschaft!
