「Our 3rd year returning to this wonderful home in Calais! The close proximity to Montpelier and Stowe is a blessing, but the best part is hitting that dirt road on the way to the house. 「The location of this historic hotel was perfection. Situated in the heart of picturesque Montpelier we had a view of the gold domed state building and were able to walk to enticing shops, restaurants and the weekly farmers market. The room was clean, quiet and comfortable. The staff was very personable, helpful and welcoming. Although this is an older property with some dated features the staff, cleanliness, comfort and location makes it a property to visit again. 」

「Me and and my friend (both women) booked this place for an overnight stay before we head back to our destinatiion. I was a bit hesitant as usually to feel safe we prefer hotels and i am glad we booked here. I have zero complains, place was perfect, clean, organised, amazing view on the river, calm and most importantly for us "safe".
