Egyptian hospitality with a view of the Pyramids of Giza and the typical tourist hustle and bustle. Wonderful shared terrace for a breathtaking sunset, breakfast or relaxation overlooking the historical monuments. Ideal accommodation from where you can start daily trips to museums, monuments in Giza, Memphis, Saqqara and Cairo. The apartment was well equipped, clean and the hosts were very kind. Thank you!

Great value!

My clean room has every modern convenience I look for in a hotel room. The bathroom is modern and everything works very well. The daily free breakfast is one of the best I've had and really adds to the amazing value of this hotel.

The hosts were amazing and friendly. Language was a bit of a barrier but the staff had good grasp of English to have engaging conversations. They were also very accomodating to our needs as well. The rooftop view of the Pyramids is one of the highlights. And the Pyramids are a walking distance too from the lodge if you are into that kind of thing. Otherwise you can get one of the horse drawn carriages Pharaoh style to get there. All in all, solid 5 stars

気になった点 : 設備とサービス
We stayed at Venus Pyramids Inn in Cairo for 8 days (2 people, €114.64 total). We booked through Expedia and chose the most expensive room because we wanted specific features, including a bath. When we arrived, staff said our booking was not visible and we had to wait on the rooftop while a room was prepared. The rooftop view of the pyramids was beautiful, but the room we got was not the one we booked. The room had the basics, but we found at least 10 ants in the bed. Power went out on 5 of the 8 days, including one night where we had almost no electricity and no AC. Every time I had to go to the desk on the same floor to get it fixed, and eventually I learned to reset the AC myself. Hot water was another issue because the socket for the water heater stopped working after day two. Breakfast also did not match the advertisement and we only got the advertised breakfast once. The worst part was our last evening. Drinks we had ordered all week for 100 EGP suddenly became 150 EGP each, and our bill went from 660 EGP on the menu to 1025 EGP because of "inflation" and "old menu prices." Nice view, but too many issues overall. I made a longer review but unfortunately i'm limited here to 1500 characters so I had to take a lot out of the review

The room itself was acceptable, and I want to be fair about that. However, the main issues were the location and the behaviour of the manager, which ultimately forced me to leave the property early. As mentioned, the location is extremely poor: dirty, dusty streets, overcrowded, and generally unpleasant. This alone made the stay very uncomfortable. After spending two nights, I realised I could not tolerate staying there any longer. I contacted Hotels.com to explain the situation and request to leave early. They contacted the property, but I was told by the reception staff that it was late and to call again in the morning. The next day, Hotels.com contacted the property again, but no agreement was reached. I then spoke directly with Mohammed (the manager), who behaved in an unprofessional and unclear manner. He told me that he would “fix the issue” and apply for a refund for the remaining five nights. I specifically asked for confirmation before checking out, as I could not afford to pay for two hotels at the same time. He assured me verbally that the refund would be processed and encouraged me to check out. He also made personal assurances, which later turned out to be unreliable. Based on this, I returned the keys and checked out on the third day (after two nights). After checking out, I informed Hotels.com of what had been agreed. However, the following day I received an email stating that the property had approved only a one-night refund. This was shocking and deeply

DO NOT STAY HERE!

DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!!! IT IS VERY FAR FROM THE PYRAMIDS AND YOU CAN HARDLY SEE THEM. THE PICTURES AND INFORMATION IS ALL WRONG. THEY ARE LIARS. THE MANAGER IS A DISGRACE AND HE DOES NOT KNOW WHAT HE IS DOING. HE IS RUDE AND GETS IRRITATED BY KIDS. JUST TO SHUT ME UP INFRONT OF OTHER GUESTS HE PROMISED HE WILL DO SOMETHING BUT HE DID NOT. THE ONLY HELPFUL PERSON WAS MOHAMED, THE YOUNG GUY WITH THE GLASSES. HE TREATED US KINDLY AND WITH RESPECT. I WILL NEVER STAY HERE AGAIN AND WILL OTHER PEOPLE NOT TO EITHER. RUINED MY TRIP TO GIZA.
