The hotel is in a very noisy road and there is substantial noise even late at night on the front rooms - try to request a room with look to the back for morw silence

Cleaners didn’t bother cleaning properly and didn’t replace towels, slippers etc. bedding wasn’t change even though I asked them to. Breakfast was average and was the same everyday but staff were lovely and the location was great everything is on your doorstep I don’t think I will be staying here again

My stay at Jewel Zamalek Hotel was overall pleasant and fair for its category. It’s an older hotel and not a 5-star property, but it’s also far from being a bad or poor hotel. The breakfast is not 5-star, but it is good and appropriate for the hotel’s standard. What really makes up for everything else is the excellent location in Zamalek, which is close to cafés, restaurants, and many attractions. If you’re not looking for luxury but want a comfortable, well-located, mid-level hotel with good service, this is a reasonable choice.

Alles war gut, aber es war zu laut. Der Pool ist ein Gemeinschaftspool mit einem Schwimmverein und man kann den Trainer von seinem Zimmer aus hören.

Great location, super noisy if you have a city view room . Also, the bathroom in the room had s weird smell - not that it was not clean, but like there was something with the sewage. The location is great and zamalek is a great neighborhood, safe and walkable. The hotel is not as taken care of as it shows in the photos when you book- a bit decadent but overall clean.

We stayed here for 3 nights and we were very happy with the stay. The rooms were spacious including the bathroom. The rooms are tired looking but we werent bothered by that. The bed was comfy! Excellent shower and hotel provided many nice toiletries and free water and tea facilities. Breakfast was amazing, lots of choice, more than expected. Right on the main street of Zamalek so lots going on outside. Hotel was quiet. The lift didn't work on day 2 which was slightly annoying but they told us they were fixing it. Staff very friendly. Would stay here again.

The staff is very accommodating, the rooms are lovely and I was given a late check out with no extra charge. The elevator isn't safe (we know first hand) and Communication with reservations to resolve issues beforehand is impossible. Having said that I would stay here again but only send my luggage in the elevator.

Well... I booked for a room on the pool side - more expensive but useful in Cairo if you don't fancy the noise of horns and cars at 3 am... But when I arrived I was in a room on the street side. Discussing with staff was... complicated and I got the room I paid for only the second night. Service is somewhat random. Sometimes very helpful, and trying their best. But then you find that there is no towel in the room. Or that no water was provided on one day... Cannot really blame the staff - it's more a management issue, really. Oh - and of course, book directly with the hotel. The price on websites such as booking is about twice what you can get with a direct phone call...

Good location, renewed and clean. Forget breakfast

The hotel is very well located, in a nice neighbourhood. It is clean and seems to have been recently renovated. Rooms are also new and had air-conditioning. Even though breakfast was included, one should consider it doesn't have. We surprised staff when asked for breakfast, got some packaged goods and no drinks (coffee apparently was charged extra). The second day we simply bought things in the supermarket. Apart from that a good option in Cairo.

Hôtel sur le bord d’une route 4 voies sur 2 étages avec bruit +pollution épouvantable toute la nuit.Photos trompeuses car la piscine est municipale ouverture 24hsur24 avec cours de natation en permanence donc bruit ++.Les autres équipements (bowling,billard,resto sur le toit)sont tous cassés et abandonnés.Aucun entretien des chambres à la propreté douteuse. Seul point positif :le personnel très gentil

OK for a few nights

Overall, the hotel is fine. It's clean enough and very conveniently located on the main street in Zamalek. The rooms were spacious and clean enough, and the refrigerator in my room was big, which was a huge plus for me. However, there are clear downsides: expect lots of traffic noise, and if visiting in the winter, rooms have no central heating, so I was cold. The mattresses in the room were among the worst I've ever slept on and clearly need to be replaced. As such, the stay wasn't super comfortable and I wouldn't stay for more than a couple of nights there.

The location was perfect, especially for first-timers in Egypt. The staff was attentive and flexible for late check-outs and early check-ins. I felt very safe in the hotel and the surrounding areas. The conditions of the hotel were slightly outdated but I felt like my stay was worth the price.

Good Hotel

We had a very good 3 nights at this hotel. Room was spacious comfortable and clean. Staff were helpful. Good breakfast and room service. Location of hotel was perfect for us as there are lots of restaurants and cafes with plenty shops within walking distance. Safe area and no one hassling you to buy things. Easy to get a taxi to museums and ancient city sites within Cairo.

Lovely and convenient

Lovely people at reception. But need to figure out calling taxis more efficiently. My first room was small, old and disappointing but the second stay was in a lovely room! It was like being at another nicer hotel completely! Be careful… I almost didn’t come back after the first stay. Happy I did.
