Beautiful house, especially the backyard. The property manager was very attentive, as were the owners. However, it was off putting to see an indoor camera that we noticed a few days in, as my husband was standing in front of it wearing only a towel, since he came out of the shower to ask me to help adjust the water. The camera was aimed at the front door, but could see us in the hall as we passed to and fro. I texted the owner because this made me uncomfortable, especially since the camera can hear our conversations. I would have written it off, but I was offended at their response, which was that we are the first people in 15 years to complain about it. That's not really the point, and I feel that our privacy was violated, and cameras are not allowed inside properties per VRBO terms. We ended up unplugging it. They also had an exterior camera at the front door, so not sure why the interior one was necessary, and this is a double gated community with strict security. She said that they usually tell their guests but we were not told. Even if I had been told I would have unplugged it.
The only other complaint was that there was a big mark up on some of the groceries. I thought that we were being charged only a delivery fee of $50. Our bill was so high that I checked some prices at the store down the street and found that liquor, in particular, was extremely marked up, so you might do better purchasing that on your own.
