The owners and staff were very friendly and accommodating. The food was delicious, especially the pasole. The pool was great and the rooftop terrace gives you a great view of the bay. Overall I was very happy with my stay.

This hotel is fantastic. The rooms are new and sparkling clean, the beds are excellent and the view is of the ocean. The restaurant has beautiful food and it is a family run business by super nice people.

We were impressed by the roomy sized suites and the roof deck with huge views. But what really made Stella Maris exceptional was the owner/managers that were there for any thing we needed. Lulu is also the chef and her homemade tamales were the best. She also made us custom chili rellenos for our anniversary meal. All this at a great value too.

This is the PERFECT location! The owners are amazing people. The community is very special. I felt right at home, comfortable, welcome. If i needed advice, information, or recommendations, Genaro was always so very helpful. Walking distance from the beach and some amazing food! I would recommend this gem of a stay to everyone. Genaro was one of the nicest people i've ever met! Stella Maris is wonderful! I will 100% be returning next year!

Beautiful views and lovely hosts!

My room was so beautiful. I loved the high ceilings and the balcony. We did pop up to the spacious rooftop too which they are setting up to have a bar. The views were spectacular. The owners are gracious hosts who clearly care about their guests experience. I only had breakfast at the restaurant, but it was fresh and super tasty. They even surprised me with cheesecake and candles the morning of my birthday! If I am ever in El Sargento again, this is where I will stay.

Todo está nuevo limpio y ordenado. La habitación accesible a salida y alberca, y muy amplia. El problema fue que el a/C era insuficiente para la amplitud, y hacía calor. La cama pequeña, no muy cómoda.

A very Pleasant Surprise

Our experience was so very nice. It's a small but we'll built hotel in El Sargento they've only been open a year. The Owners are a wonderful Couple. All of the rooms seem to have a few of the Sea of Cortez. Our room had stunning views and was a very clean practical layout. We set our time to wake up just before dawn open the curtains and watched the sun rise off the balcony. It was amazing. Also there is a 3 minute walk down to the most incredible beach. The beach has a ice cream shop, bar and a very popular Restaurant which had live music. We only stayed one night and had to leave early in the morning. The hotel has a small restaurant and they cooked us up a great breakfast before we left. All in all a perfect Stay.

I understand this is a fairly new establishment, as mentioned by the staff, and there’s definitely potential here. That said, there were several areas where the room experience could be improved. Our room felt quite minimal, with only a bed and a sofa bed.there were no tables, chairs, or additional seating, which made it less comfortable for relaxing.The window shades also didn’t block out much light, unlike the rooms on the upper floors that have proper blackout curtains, which made a noticeable difference. The placement of electrical outlets throughout the room seemed a bit random and could benefit from more thoughtful planning.While décor isn’t everything, the space felt like it was missing a sense of warmth and intentional design. The marble floors, while, were quite slippery,especially when coming in from the pool or shower, so that’s something to be mindful of for guest safety. Additionally, the room did not include a refrigerator or basic items like drinking glasses.While I’m sure the staff would have provided these upon request, having these essentials readily available in the room would greatly improve the overall experience. Given how new the property is,it almost felt like the room may not have been fully ready for guests yet. For the price, I didn’t feel the accommodations quite matched the value. That said, the staff was incredibly friendly,attentive, and clearly eager to make guests feel welcome, which I really appreciated. I would consider a different room
