The Cook's Wall Cabin

This small L-shaped cabin has a comfy queen sized bed, a couch in a sitting area, and a kitchenette. There is a very small bathroom with a shower. It has a screened covered porch for your morning coffee or a meal at the end of your hiking, climbing, biking, zip-lining, kayaking or tubing. The kitchenette has a microwave, toaster oven, a small crock-pot, coffee maker, an electric griddle, as well as a gas grill outdoors with a burner. It is furnished with pots, pans, dishes, coffee, creamer, sugar, salt and pepper and utensils. We have a strong internet connection for work or entertainment.
Enjoy a private fire at your own fire pit and a beautiful view of the mountain from our gazebo. Sit and relax near one of our two water features . We share a yard but are happy to have you enjoy all our property has to offer.
We are 9 miles from the Hanging Rock Park entrance, less than a mile from Neatman Creek Disc Golf Course, 5 miles from Carolina Ziplines and 20 minutes to Pilot Mountain State Park, Pilot Mountain and Jolo Wineries, Midsummer Brewery, Danbury and Dan River Company (kayaking and canoes), less than 1/2 mile from Snyder's Barn. We are 30 minutes from Winston Salem for dining and arts! Go to hangingrock.com for information about activities in the area.

There is a $10 fee for the 3rd person.

Beautiful property - very short distance from hanging rock for those that want to hike and get some needed rest afterwards the cabin is at his property in a separate area . Very quiet and peaceful . Ideal for 2 people . He provided some extra snacks and creamer which was a nice touch . Lots of games and reading material as well . We enjoyed our peaceful stay .

I can’t say enough good things about Cook’s Wall Cabin. From the moment you arrive, you can tell this place is something special. The cabin is spotless, beautifully maintained, and thoughtfully designed to be both cozy and spacious at the same time. Every detail feels intentional—whether you’re enjoying your morning coffee on the deck with that unbelievable view, relaxing by the fireplace, or winding down in one of the most comfortable beds I've ever slept in. The peace and quiet here is something you can’t put a price on. It’s the perfect escape from the stress of everyday life, yet still close enough to everything you might want to explore. And that view of the mountain? Absolutely breathtaking—pictures truly don’t do it justice. I genuinely don’t understand how anyone could rate this place anything less than a 9 or 10. It checks every box and then some. Cook’s Wall Cabin doesn’t just meet expectations—it exceeds them in every way. If you’re looking for a place to recharge, reconnect with nature, or just enjoy an unforgettable getaway, this is the place to be. Highly, highly recommended!

Lovely hosts who live on a nice side road. Sweet spot not far from Hanging Rock State Park. My 7 year old daughter loved the two small dogs on the property, the zip line, and the tree swing. The outdoor fire pit was perfect for roasting hot dogs in the evening. The screened in porch was great for morning breakfast time and sipping tea. Bathroom is small but does the job. Bed was comfy... All in all a great time!

Mountain getaway

I stayed here with my 11 year old twins. The hosts were so accommodating and even provided a twin mattress for us. They also gave us great restaurant suggestions which really helped since there really is nothing close by. Having coffee and a few snacks was also a very nice touch. Loved the screen porch and play area too. We will be back again.

The hosts are very nice. We enjoyed playing games and eating on the screened in porch. The bathroom is a bit cramped but plenty of hot water and water pressure. The hosts have a beautiful yard, very pleasant surroundings.

Cook's Wall Cabin

The Cook's Wall Cabin was a clean, very relaxing place to stay before hiking at Hanging Rock State Park. The view of the mountain from the gazebo was great, as was the unobstructed view of the night stars. Hosts were friendly and communicative, providing many suggestions of things to do in area. WiFi was excellent throughout the property. I'd definitely book again.
