The upstairs in a private home has been converted into a charming room with private entrance and a bathroom. Wonderful scenery from the private porch is very much like sitting in a treehouse. Lisa is a delightful hostess and has provided almost all the amenities of home. Everything from her own beautiful artwork on the walls to the bug spray on the table on the porch. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay there.

Amazing stay and host!

This property was a great stay for the Outer Banks. There were plenty of places to access the beach, the room was very clean and well thought-out for guests, and the host was friendly and helpful. We even got to see her perform with her band at Breakwater restaurant in town! The Vrbo exceeded our expectations.

My husband and I came for just one night to explore the Cape. I enjoyed breeze coming in from the ocean and waking up to the sounds of birds. Lisa's place is clean and comfortable. It had everything we needed; also very close to Pop's, which had delicious and inexpensive seafood.

Great host and awesome location

We only stayed overnight but we will be back! Lisa was an great host and I would recommend tree house to anyone. Unit was clean and she even supplied coffee for the maker inside the room.

Quaint, quiet, treetop stay!

Lisa was great, I needed a place to crash a couple nights for an OBX wedding. Perfect 10 min drive south of Avon. Access to the lighthouse in a short drive or nice long walk around to the point of the cape. She suggested the Palmico Inn for breakfast, which was perfect during the mid week mornings.

One night in Okracoke

Cozy, comfortable and quiet cabin in the middle of beautiful live oak trees. Perfect for the 2 of us. Wish we could have stayed longer.

Nice sound side room

I had a very nice stay in the Treehouse. The room was clean and had everything I needed. Lisa responded quickly and was a pleasure to deal with. The location is close to everything too.

Great alternative to a motel. Room is above the host's residence and she came out to greet me when I arrived. Very helpful and gave me a tip on an excellent restaurant for dinner. Centrally located on Hatteras Island.

Quaint and wonderful

First, Lisa was amazing to work with. She communicated well and was very accommodating for my questions. Second, the room was so cute and comfortable and all the amenities needed was present. We will definitely stay here again.

Lisa was a great host and the treetop get away was great. Only thing I’d change is the deep holes in the road/driveway to her place. It was a peaceful place to stay

Perfect couple getaway

Gorgeous little treetop room with great views. Just outside Buxton with access to all amenities. Pops Bar and restaurant is 200 feet away, so stumbling distance home from the bar :) Hostess was amazing and responded immediately to any inquiries.

Hidden Gem

Great location for us, especially within short walking distance from Pops grill. I enjoyed walking around the boat yard early in the morning. The host was great, was present during our check in. Host also checked on us several times during the visit. Perfect little spot to get away and enjoy the beach for sure. It’s our 37th year visting Buxton. We will most definitely stay in the future.

Awesome Little Spot!

What a beautiful place to stay while visiting my favorite beach. The small space was perfect for my wife and I and we enjoyed it so much. Lisa, the owner, was just wonderful to talk with and she made sure we had everything we needed for our stay. The view from the Treehouse is great, the place is clean, and the bed is really comfortable. I will be saving the Treehouse to my favorites and when I am doing a night or a few on the island I'm gonna check with Lisa first to see if the Treehouse is available. Awesome place!!

Wonderful Stay in the Tree House!

Very clean. Very comfortable. The shower hit the spot. The view is amazing from the deck. I was alone this time but would bring my wife in the future. It is a very nice respite after a day of doing what you do on the island. If you like good, kind, and thoughtful people; Lisa will not disappoint.

The Treetop Retreat is a great place to stay

Lisa is a great host. She communicated details in advance of my stay. The day of check in she texted me to let me know the room was ready early. I met her the day I arrived and she was very welcoming. The room was exactly as stated in the description. It is clean and there was always a breeze coming off the sound. I enjoyed sitting on the dack in the evening and listening to the birds. After dark the stars were bright and the location is very tranquil. I felt safe and happy with my choice. I look forward to another visit.
