We were pleasantly surprised when we arrived as it’s actually a firefighters charity who rent their rooms out of a weekend, and is used for firefighters rehab during the week. "traditional pub with very friendly staff and good quality food. the flat is above the pub but has its own entrance. You can hear people downstairs but this didn't disturb us. We ate both evening we were there and it was excellent and very good value. The flat is in the oldest part of the pub and as such the door frames are low but the ceilings are fine. There was everything we needed and it was nice and clean. Very good value for 2 couples."

"We spent two nights at West Beach Hotel Brighton in July! The location of the hotel is great as it is right across from the beach and easily walkable to many locations within the city. The room was clean, tidy, and quite spacious. We appreciated the friendly staff who helped to ensure we had the best of the available "Standard Rooms" when we checked in. The room had a good view of the beach, and with the windows open we are able to get a cooling breeze. The street noise was at times quite loud with the windows open, but that did not bother us at all and overall the hotel was very quiet. We would stay at this hotel again!"
