"If this hotel were half the price, I would say 5 star. However, it wasn’t. Pros: the man checking us out was phenomenal. The view is unmatched, location is great if you are looking to shop. Cons: linens were very low end. Towels and bathrobe were extremely cheap. No wash cloths(I know this is norm, but not at nice hotels.) don’t get me started on the small flat pillows. Tea kettle was dirty. We stayed in Grassmarket with a balcony and castle view for much less and was infinitely better quality and attention to details. There is a huge opportunity to make this a phenomenal hotel if some tweaks are done."
