"This was the cutest little place and great for a couples get away. Very close to the river which was nice to listen to at night. It was very quiet and still felt very private even with the owner right next door. Burnsville was such a treat to explore and even though it rained the whole time we were not bored and did lots of exploring! I really enjoyed the bathtub and getting a good soak while i read my book. "The resort was beautiful. Big, grand feel. Beautiful mountain views from restaurants and rooms. Nicely landscaped. In a nice mountain neighborhood with old homes with character. Several restaurants. The breakfast buffet was the best I've had and well worth the $35. Every bite was delicious. The pool and hot tubs in the spa could only be used by spa guests and guests that paid $200 per day to use them. There was another outdoor pool, but it was so far away, I couldn't even see it from the hotel. The concierge suggested taking a shuttle to the pool. At these nightly prices, a pool and hot tub for all guests is expected. The guest room walls were paper thin in the Sammons annex. I could hear conversations next door and could even hear someone hiccuping, so you felt as though you couldn't talk about anything private (or do anything else) because your neighbor would hear every word."
