"Recently a family member moved to Cumbernauld Village in Winfield. To accommodate her new situation we needed a place we could all gather for Christmas dinner. This home was perfect. The two living areas allowed those that wanted to visit to be in one room while those that wanted to play games or watch TV to be in another. "Outstanding rural area where we didn’t see another person during our stay-exactly what we wanted. We brought all of our food and fishing gear. We had our three year old grandson with us and he loved watching the lizards on the SE side of the house! Great dock for fishing. We grilled on the patio and enjoyed snores there too. Several areas to gather inside to eat and play games in the evening. My boys definitely want to return!"

Rachelle was very attentive and accommodating to all of our needs. The communication and check in/out process was easy. We will definitely book here again for future trips. "

"Everything was great except AC went down on day 3 of 5. We opened doors and windows with fans to cool off late in evening. They gave me some refund for inconvenience but did not get it fixed before we left. The facility was nice and worked very well otherwise."

Excellent accommodations

"The Charming Chestnut is a wonderful home. Although it is an older house (1910 I believe), it is in excellent condition with a lot of modern features. The kitchen is well equipped for just about any meal you may want to prepare. The bathrooms have been remodeled with modern fixtures and include plenty of towels. They even included complimentary items such as a toothbrush, soaps, and shampoos in case you forgot to pack those items. Rachelle, the hostess, was very accommodating and easy to communicate with. She even offered an earlier check-in time because the house had not been rented the previous day. We would not hesitate to book this home again if we are ever in the need of accommodations in the future. "
