We loved the location and corner rooms. The staff was exceptional. The only negatives were small shower stalls and some showers had a slippery step up before exiting. Also the shampoo, cream rinse, and body gel bottles were impossible to pump. We had to remove the tops to use them. There are few choices in this lovely, safe, and quiet neighborhood, and this hotel is a good one.

Casa Lucia is tucked away on a lovely, quiet street, offering an atmosphere of refined calm. The hotel has an old-fashioned sense of luxury and service — the kind of five-star experience you’d find 20 years ago, in the best possible way. The staff were consistently friendly and helpful, and the gym was excellent — far better than what you usually find in a boutique hotel. The only downside was the oddly shaped, very small shower, which didn’t match the otherwise spacious comfort of the room. Clean beautiful room, great reception and spa staff. Expensive for what we got. There is a small bar and lounge. On one of our 2 night stay this was being used by private party. So nowhere really to go as bar area chilly and too cold to sit outside. Second night very loud music from lobby until 11pm could be heard in our room. Breakfast on first morning very limited and food ordered cold. Second morning food selection much better and laid outside restaurant- toaster etc available. Not sure why this didn’t occur on first morning as we were an hour before end of breakfast.Felt they were understaffed for anything requiring table service such as coffee/ tea
