「The public areas were a bit dark and gloomy. The bedroom was hot and stuffy even with the windows open. Some furniture was quite old fashioned but the bed was comfortable enough. The food was OK but lacked better wine choices. The breakfast was a bit too greasy. Staff were friendly and helpful.」

「schönes Ambiente, nettes Personal, das Zimmer war recht groß. Frühstück war sehr gut und reichlich.」

「Macdonald's Cardrona is looking a bit tired. Pretty well maintained, though enough cut-backs to become noticeable. The staff are very good, but have no say in the fixtures. For example, the third floor is very poorly endowed with WiFi. We had to be moved to the 4th floor, where it was better. Apparently, it is a long-term problem, which you only find out if you are involved. In the bedroom, there were no bedside power sockets; one packet of biscuits for 2 people; inadequate ceiling lighting -...

「Convenient location bang in the middle of Selkirk. Hotel has a nice bar and restaurant with attentive and friendly staff. Breakfast very good but, at £35 a head, very expensive.」

「Very nice stay as we have had previously and we will be going back」

「This was a great location for me to visit Galashiels. Its a lovely old manse building with nice clean big rooms and comfy beds. The owners of the guest house were on site, very friendly and welcoming. I had a sound night's sleep and woke to a lovely cooked breakfast with all the trimmings. I couldn't fault my stay. There is plenty parking but lots of free street parking nearby anyway so no issues there. I wouldn't hesitate to book again.」

「Very disappointing. I paid £98 for a very basic twin room for 1 night. Only 1 bed was made up and room was clean but very dated, and the property and grounds have seen better days and are overall quite scruffy. No TV in room but was told I could watch TV downstairs if I wanted to. The shower didn't work properly - either scalding hot or dribbled out cold water. Sink took ages to drain, noisy radiator. Was only given 1 small bath towel and 1 small hand towel. Hosts very friendly and was a very...

「ホテルはとても清潔で魅力的な建物、内装だった。スタッフもとても親切。レストランは庭で食事でき、景観を楽しみながらの食事ができた。」

「We were happy enough with our room at St Ronans Hotel and we were grateful for the host's recommendation that we should go to The Traquair Arms Hotel for our evening meal.」
