This hotel has an excellent location in Brussels. After walking the whole day, it was amazing how near was from the Grand-Place. The breakest is very simple, but it is included so it is a very good option for young people traveling in Europe. Staff was kind. No hair dryer in my room, it is the only thing I would add.
The hostel is very good and the staff was very attentive. I really appreciated the luggage storage service you can choose the locker size you need and pay directly, very convenient. The location is also great, close to the city center and easy to get around. The room was comfortable and the shower was amazing very nice with plenty of hot water. A solid option for a stay in Brussels!
A pleasant stay at Latroupe. If you can snag it for a good price, then it's definitely worth it. This place actually has a privacy curtain on the bunks, 2 USB charger ports, as well as a regular outlet, with a convenient shelf.
If I'm back in town, I'd like to stay here again.
By far the best value for money stay I have ever had for a personal trip. The hotel in unbelievably well located (restaurants, metro station, grocery stores and less than 10 minutes to the Grand Place).
Given all that you'd think the price is outrageous, the location is questionable or the amenities are limited. None of that is the case. Modern, clean and reasonably priced. And the service was par excellence! They had karaoke night and a concert the two nights I stayed.
Special shoutout to Antonio S. who checked me in. He was awesome!

They kept the lobby clean and fun but out private bathroom was covered in urine when we got there...nobody cleaned the seat , possibly ever. Shower grates area smelled so bad you did feel clean because you has to step on them to get out.

Overall this was a disappointing stay. The place looks nice on the surface, is in a good location, and the staff friendly but we found several issues that made us very relieved we were only staying for one night. Most disappointing was that we were given a room where the central heating wasn’t working and it seemed the maintenance staff already knew this but had clocked off for the day before it was fixed. We were given extra doonas but with one wall of the room all windows and it being mid winter, it was icy when we had to leave our beds, shower etc. We also found food wrappers and chewed gum in an upper bunk from a previous guest, and the security rail broken on the same top bunk made it unsafe if a person were to roll against it. There was also a bad smell coming from the private bathroom in our room which meant we wanted to open the windows but it was too cold to do so. Breakfast also a big disappointment - very little left when we came down at 9.30am. Not worth the price. Find a better option.

Staff was very helpful and nice. Property is clean. Space was tight for 4 persons but it did the job. Liked the room division although we were four in one room there was privacy nonetheless in the shower and the toilet areas. The mattress and pillows were very confortable and clean, but the top bed of the banker beds had a broken fence which made caused an injury when the person was coming down and it was not easy in general to go up and down so be aware if you're planning to choose that type of bed. Also you could easily get a head hit by the top bed corner if you don't pay extra attention to it. Also expect a relatively long wait time to get the elevator as there is only one serving the building. Price was reasonable and location is at the heart of where you would need to be to visit the city. A downside is the rocky road leading to the place on foot; since the path isn’t paved, it’s better to use a car or public transport to get as close as possible and make it easier with your carry-on.

Staff was courteous and friendly. Room was spotless and comfortable.
The location was great being close to everything in the grand place and the front desk was helpful with information. However, the hotel stunk horribly. The lobby, the elevator, the room, everywhere stunk like diarrhea and cigarette smoke.

Nice staff. Everything looked clean, but the building had a rotten odor. The location was pretty sketchy. Lots of drunk homeless men and panhandling.
