"A very enjoyable one night stay at the highdown inn. We were half way through a 70 mile run around the coastal path and needed to set off early so we would have missed breakfast, but the staff were kind enough to cook us some delicious bacon sandwiches to take with us as a packed lunch. In addition to this I left my headphones in the room and didn't realize until I was back in Bembridge. I didn't have time to drive all the way back before getting my Ferry home. I contacted them about it and they kindly packaged and posted them back to me very promptly. It's fair to say they go above and beyond for their guests at the Highdown Inn and I would have no hesitation recommending it to anyone thinking of staying in the area."

"The property is stunning, beautifully decorated with lovely unique furniture and decoration, I wish we could have stayed longer to read all of the amazing books that are dotted around. There are board games galore, and it very much feels like you are being welcomed into a home as a house guest rather than a paying visitor - it has a feeling of “mi casa es tu casa” which was a little strange at first - but we quickly got into it! The location is top notch, with beautiful views and a few minutes walk to freshwater bay. It would be great if there were a few Sun loungers on the deck, so bring a couple of folding ones if you are staying."
