Very pleasant staff, room was above average size, with toaster, kettle, a few plates and sets of cutlery, quiet air-conditioner. Needed a mirror in the bathroom and TV reception over satellite was pixelated at times due to heavy rain.

In a good location in the centre of town and the rooms were clean with refillable bathroom dispensers. Not being able to open the curtains, however, made the room very dark and leaving the door open was difficult with so many smokers nearby.

Your description of the property states that is adjoining the Southern Cross Resort with dining and bar facilities. This was the main reason for choosing Desert Sand. The Southern Cross Resort has been closed for some years. Very disappointed

Unfortunately the AC did not work, but there was a heater Half the lights didn’t work and the shower dripped significantly constantly. It was spacious and comfortable.

The hotel reception was closed even though it advertised 24 hour service. The onsite restaurant closed and not just the day we arrived so that was misleading as it looked like its been closed for months.

The place had no comunity kitchen. The rooms are presented poorly. Unable to use the wifi. Had people walking in and out all night through a loud gate right next to our room not to mention using drills upstairs at a ridiculous hour of the night. Pool area has no shade and is dirty. No room service towels toilet paper etc every morn as you should. Over rated and waste of money. Never again would I stay there
