1 Chestnut Corner - a beautiful house in Stanton sleeping 4 guests
This charming honey coloured Cotswolds Stone cottage is located in a quiet corner of Stanton; a beautiful village situated below the wooded Cotswold Edge. Brimming with character, the traditional features of this quintessential Cotswolds cottage blend seamlessly with all the modern comforts you could want in a truly beautiful holiday home.
Flagstone floors, exposed beams and stunning, traditional crittall windows have all been lovingly restored, and the large inglenook fireplace with wood burning stove makes 1 Chestnut Corner an all year round destination. The kitchen blends contemporary appliances with rustic charm and provides an area for dining. Next door the sitting room will envelope you with comfort and character, as you sink into the sofas and enjoy the flicker and crackle of the wood burning stove. A modern shower room is also conveniently located on the ground floor, in addition to the family bathroom upstairs. Once on the first floor, the two equally bedrooms, both with super-king size beds, have use of the central dressing area leading into the spacious family bathroom with a roll-top bath and separate walk-in shower.
Outside, there is driveway parking for two cars and to the rear is a traditional, well-established cottage style garden, offering peaceful seating areas to relax and enjoy the morning birdsong before exploring the beautiful Cotswolds countryside, as well as that relaxing evening drink on your return.
The idyllic village of Stanton sits on the Cotswold Way and is home to some of the prettiest Cotswold cottages, a medieval Parish Church, and a much loved pub, The Mount Inn, with fabulous far reaching views. Just a couple of miles up the road is beautiful Broadway, often referred to as ' The Jewel of the Cotswolds' and bursting with bespoke boutiques, antiques, fine art, tea shops, pubs and restaurants.
Additional Information: Two well-behaved dogs welcome (additional charge). Please do not allow your dog(s) on the beds or furniture and do not leave them unsupervised in the property. Thank you in advance. Whilst the garden is reasonably enclosed, it is not fully 'dog-proof'. Children and infants welcome. Please provide your own infant equipment. Travel cots can be accommodated in both bedrooms. Mullion windows, stone floors and exposed beams. Wood burning stove (please take care when in use). The bedding is non-feather. Coffee pods for the Nespesso coffee machine are not supplied. In keeping with the age of the property, please be aware of the low beams, uneven floors and different levels within the cottage, along with a very steep staircase. The sitting room has a door to the side of the fireplace leading to the road. The kitchen has a step up to the stairs and the sitting room, and upstairs there is a low beam to step over to access bedroom one. Please be aware, the neighbouring property has access at the rear of the house for refuse. On-site parking for two cars.
