The Hall - luxury barn conversion in the Cotwolds
This stunning one bed apartment sits in a traditional Cotswolds threshing barn. A beautiful combination of contemporary and original features which work together to create a luxury self catering space. Woodcock Farm has 36 acres on the Cotswold Way with sheep, pigs, horses, chickens and ducks. The farm sits on an Iron Age hill fort that was subsequently occupied by the Romans and Anglo Saxons; so history is literally on the doorstep! Located between Bath and Bristol just 5 mins from J18 of M4. Woodcock Farm is a beautiful cotswold barn conversion, set in 36 acres of rolling countryside and woodland. You are free to walk and explore the land and farm and we'd be happy to introduce you to the animals who live here. Locally there is a wide selection of beautiful villages and towns which offer interesting independent shops, National Trust properties, great pubs and restaurants and wonderful walking. There are plenty of places of interest for all the family to visit within an easy drive - Bristol Zoo, Cotswold Water Park, Adam Henson's (BBC Countryfile presenter) farm, Longleat, Bath Roman Baths, Malmesbury Abbey and Westonbirt Arboretum to name a few. We'd be happy to help you with ideas for days out. The Farm sits on an old Anglo-Saxon Hill Fort which was also used by the Romans. The Cotswold Way crosses the land and there are many really scenic walks all around. We can lend you maps and recommend pubs and stops along the way. There is an extensive array of wildlife on the farm including hares, deer, badgers, hedgehogs, skylarks, wrens, and red kites.

Beautiful conversion in a fantastic location. Hikes along the Cotswolds Way, which threads through the property, were magical. Very convenient location for Cotswolds highlights. Everything we need was there. Conversion was just beautiful with all the fixtures and features very high quality. Wish we had time to stay longer!
The Hall was a beautifully curated space, so spacious and comfortable. It’s a unique stay on the Woodcock Farm with a relaxing atmosphere — great location for taking advantage of walks along the Cotswolds. The hosts provide excellent communication on everything you need and have wonderful information about the area. We very much enjoyed our stay.
Excellent location, beautiful landscape and surroundings, amazing farm and hosts
We spent ten days at the farm and loved to hear the birds , see the sheep and horses chickens and ducks . We travelled around the Cotswold area and always looked forward to coming back to the farm. Extremely quiet and peaceful. Our hosts were so friendly and gracious.
Our stay was exactly as envisioned. It was quiet, clean, had everything we needed for the week to relax, sleep well, cook, read, and use as a central location for our drives around the Cotswolds, to Wales, and to get groceries. The decor is lovely, and the location on the farm is just beautiful. Highly recommend!
This place was spacious for two and so nicely updated. I wish I could have stayed longer--it really did make me feel luxurious. The host was a great communicator, too, offering farm fresh eggs for breakfast. Thank you!
Perfect place to stay while in the Cotswolds. Comfortably furnished and nothing is missing. The beds were very good and the shower was also very pleasant. Good hiking opportunities almost right on the doorstep. Jason also told us a lot about the wonderful horses on the farm, which was very interesting.
We had a lovely stay and enjoyed the peace and quiet of the countryside. But we were close enough to Bath to pop down for a visit there. Enjoyed many of the attractions and restaurants near Woodcock Farm. Caroline was helpful with recommendations.
We had the loveliest time staying with in the hall! The place was very clean and well equipped to cook simple meals which we did. They left logs and equipment light the fire which was great (very romantic) the location is amazing really feels like you’re in the middle of no where but bath and Bristol are only short drives away… the host left a great Booklet with everything we needed.
An extra set or towels would have been helpful but honestly it was great I hope we can go back again.
We had 4 relaxing nights at in the beautiful Hall. Everything you would need for a break away. Immaculately clean. A fabulous shower, always a bonus. The old hall really is lovely and relaxing, tastefully decorated and very comfortable. A beautiful bedroom, slept very well in the beautiful comfy bed.
Set on a small farm, a lovely drive up to the property, very quiet and loved seeing the horses too.
Everything is well organised, clear instructions for the hall and where you are able to walk in the area. Had a lovely early evening walk in the woods and across the fields to catch the sunset over the countryside. You can catch The Cotswolds way from here too for a great walk. We found the location perfect for the plans we had for visiting the Arboretum and a few of the beautiful Cotswolds villages, which I never tire of! Bath is also a short drive and next time Wales is on on our list to visit.
Didn't get chance to meet Caroline but we did Jason. Excellent hosts. Thank you for a lovely break. .
Gorgeous relaxing three night stay in the Cotswolds!
My husband and I travelled from Chicago for a two week trip to England.
What a beautiful property! Our unit, the Hall was decorated beautifully, perfect for two and had beautiful backyard with table that I enjoyed while listening to the songs of a Eurasian Blackbird.
The living space is large and comfortable, as well as the bedroom upstairs, with a very comfortable large bed. The bathroom on the first floor has a wonderful shower.
We asked for the starter basket of food which was great.
We spent our days exploring the area, Castle Combe and Avebury stone circle and Bath. We took the owners advice for using the Lansdown Park & Ride which was great because we were just getting used to the driving roundabouts. We toured the Baths, climbed the Abbey tower, walked the city and then came back to the Hall for complete relaxation.
We enjoyed meals at a local pub The Crosshands and shopped in Chipping Sodbury for groceries.
I hope to walk the Cotswold Way someday and the Way is right behind this property, so we had a walk, found a geocache, came across a huge pack of trail runners and visited a beautiful old church with horses on the property.
Caroline and Jason stopped by to see how things were going and we also met the owner of the farm on the same property on one of the nights. Just great folks!
This location was definitely a "grand finale" location but in the middle of our trip!
I highly recommend Woodcock Farm Holiday and The Hall. Thanks for hosting us!
We were visiting from Canada for the first time in the Cotswolds and loved our stay here. The property was unique and had everything we needed. It was very close to the charming village of Chipping Sodbury and the city of Bath with its historic Roman Baths and lovely shops. Thanks so much
This was our first break for two years (lockdown etc) and it lived up to expectations. Private, quiet and nicely presented. We had everything we needed.
