Great hotel with plenty of parking and good food and drink in the bar. Staff were really nice and friendly and very helpful. Great place to stay and would definitely stay again.
Really friendly staff, very clean in all areas
Food good in the bar and for breakfast (not a lot of choice for breakfast but what was there was very good)
Hotel was just what we were after - easy access from the motorway, on-site parking, air conditioning, breakfastif we wanted it. We booked a second night on a return visit to the area for convenience.
Unfortunately there was a fire in the building overnight on our second visit. However, the staff dealt with the evacuation efficiently and effectively, checking all guests were accounted for and kept informed of what was going on. Not an easy situation for them but handled very well.
Fire in the hotel kitchen, building full of smoke so had to be evacuated at 0300 until 0730 2 fire engine on scene. Have to question whether fire safety was all it could be and given the layout of the rooms up narrow staircases it’s not a building we’d want to be in again during a fire. Staff were helpful, rooms clean and newly refurbished. No offer of refund or apology from hotel however.
We travelled 3 people + 1 dog
The room was pleasant, a big double + sofa bed, however there was no mini fridge.
We paid extra 20£ for the dog but there was no bowls made available or dog bed which is fine as we took our own but as we were paying extra it should have been provided.
Parking was paid but better price as guests of the hotel.
We found it noisy and we had difficulty sleeping until 1am as there was people talking and banging doors so it wasn't restful. Not sure if its always like that or it was due to having a party about 100m from the hotel, but we requested a quiet room and he were not able to sleep well.
Surroundings were a bit unpleasant as there's old fridges and mattresses on the car park area
Booked the “cosy” double and it was perfect for one night as a stop off to break up a long drive. Shower was really nice. Mattress on the firmer side which is not my preference but some people don’t like soft so can’t please everyone.
Staff were friendly and both check in and out were a doddle. Would stay again.
Staff were super friendly and we had everything we needed for our stay. The only slight downsides were that you can hear a lot of noise from the road and people walking down the corridor, thin walls and windows! The room also smelt slightly but not horrendous
Stayed here last night and wanted to give a special mention to Tony and Sam for their outstanding customer service.
Tony dealt with a small issue quickly and professionally, and both he and Sam were friendly, helpful and a real credit to the team.
Thank you for making our stay such a pleasant one.
Clean and comfortable room/bed/bathroom, highly recommended.
Good value. Well presented newly done rooms with everything you need. Staff very helpful. Breakfast we thought was really good. Local village 10 minute walk and had a lovely pub for a meal. Will use again to break up a long journey from Leeds to Devon.
I had a great experience overall. The place was clean, well-maintained, and the staff were friendly and helpful throughout my visit. The service was efficient, and everything was as described.
One thing I particularly appreciated was the attention to detail, which made the experience more enjoyable. If you're planning to visit, I'd recommend going during less busy hours for a more relaxed experience. It's also worth checking opening times or making a reservation in advance if it's a popular spot.
Overall, I would recommend this place to other travellers looking for a pleasant and reliable experience. I would happily visit again.
A lovely scent greeted us as we entered the reception area. The hotel is well equipped and modern. Our room was lovely and spacious & the breakfast was good. We really liked the lounge/bar area and the fact that you could grab a Starbucks coffee & snack. The car park was very spacious and the gym was well equipped & had good air conditioning. We found the air con in the room worked well and the big shower was lovely. The staff were all very friendly & helpful. It was a great base for Cribbs Causeway or for the Scouting activity centre. We really enjoyed our stay here & would definitely return.
