"We really enjoyed our stay! The listing said it had a hot tub but when we arrived it didn’t. I read after that the external company listed it incorrectly. The only down side was the property wasn’t cleaned very well - old used contact lenses around the desk and bedside table and there was hairs on the bathroom shelf. I did a quick clean myself and throughly enjoyed the rest of our week the location was perfect and our lodge was next to the pond which was lovely."

"The cottage is beautiful, cosy and so quiet. We love the location as its a hidden gem. A quiet, beautiful corner of the lakes, with plenty of walks in the area. We enjoyed starting some of our walks from the cottage. Not far from keswick and amenities. A great stay"

"Using the shower over the bath the water was not draining even thiugh the pug was open, i had to pull it right out for the bath to empty and then i realised it was because it was blocked with thick hairs so had not had a proper clean in a while. Other than that it was a lovely place to stay, comfortable and welcoming. It had all you needed including a washing machine and dishwasher. This makes life easier especially when you are on holiday."

"Few bits of wear and tear in this lodge but comfortable, lovely bedding and towels, spotless bathrooms but kitchen bin iffy and dishwasher didnâ€™t work, more positives than negatives and will definitely return ðŸ‘"

"Lovely welcome at check in. This is more of a guest house style than a modern ‘hotel’ and has decor/styling that reflects this, but all areas were very clean and tidy. The bedroom and bathroom were spotlessly clean and had good storage and tea/coffee facilities. Clean linen and nice towels. Lovely hot shower. Super view from the window over a couple of streets and beyond to the hills/mountains. All the staff we saw were friendly, attentive and hard working (but not rushing around and making things stressy). Breakfast was very well cooked, tasty, fresh and good quality ingredients. A few minutes walk to the centre of town and the park. We would definitely book here again for a future visit to Keswick. "

"Lovely hotel, currently undergoing refurbishment. But no impact on experience. Staff were friendly and helpful. Lots of nice touches in the room. I have already recommended it to several people and I will certainly return. We were a family of 5 and the kids also remarked on how impressive it was, they enjoyed playing tennis and having a swim after dinner. Food was wonderful with an excellent choice, we enjoyed both our dinner and breakfast. *Highly recommend *"

Full of charm, rich history, and unique character, this family-run hotel offers something really special being genuine warmth and exceptional customer care that's hard to find these days. If you're after modern gadgets and flashy features, this may not be your place, but what you'll get instead is far more rewarding with breathtaking views of Catbells and Hope Park, and an unbeatable location just a stone's throw from the heart of Keswick. The breakfast was absolutely outstanding, and we especially loved chatting with the owner, whose passion for the hotel's heritage and deep knowledge of Keswick made our stay even more memorable. We leave feeling completely recharged and without a doubt, we'll be back."
