- Made famous by the BBC series Broadchurch, West Bay is a bustling coastal resort that includes a pretty harbour, shingle beach, and a good selection of eateries and shops. Heading inland will take you to the vibrant town of Bridport (1.5 miles), where you can seek out vintage treasures as well as your essential supplies. Ideally placed for walks along the South West Coast Path, this area is renowned for its striking coastline and the picturesque countryside that forms its backdrop. Lovers of water sports will find plenty to do here, including rowing, paddle boarding, and kayaking. Those wishing to enjoy a slower pace can take a boat trip from the harbour around the coast to Lyme Regis (7.5 miles).
6 steps lead down from the parking area to the main entrance into this detached property. Once inside you are met with an entrance lobby and the kitchen, which is equipped with an electric double oven, induction hob, American-style fridge/freezer, microwave, dishwasher and small breakfast bar. Just next door is the inviting open-plan lounge/dining room, which has stunning sea views, and a Smart TV. Leading from here is a cosy nook ideal for settling down with a book or puzzle, or simply to admire the view. Heading further into the property you will find two bedrooms on the ground floor: a double and a zip-and-link super-king that can be made into twin beds upon request. These bedrooms share a shower room with WC. Heading upstairs there are two further bedrooms: a super-king and a twin. There is a Jack and Jill bathroom on this level, with a freestanding bath, separate shower and WC. Due to the setting within the eaves, there are some areas of restricted head height on the first floor, adding to its charm without compromising access.
Doors lead from the lounge/dining area out onto a fabulous, raised deck that wraps around two sides of the property and is equipped with seating, an outdoor dining table and chairs. A few steps take you down to the lawned garden and further seating areas. In the adjacent outbuilding, you will find a useful utility room with a washing machine and tumble dryer. To the front of the property there is a private parking area suitable for four cars.
