Set in the popular village of Groesffordd, this contemporary holiday home is a great base for friends and family wanting to roam the beautiful Brecon Beacons National Park, with a welcoming pub within walking distance. Llangorse Lake (4.5 miles), the largest natural lake in South Wales, is a must-visit for water lovers. Hire a rowing boat, a kayak, a pedalo or a stand-up paddleboard and spend a day on the water. On land, there are miles of scenic hiking routes to discover, from canal-side paths and riverside trails to hilltop walks with far-reaching vistas. Local activity centres also cater for those seeking something more energetic, with opportunities for climbing, mountain biking and horse riding. Explore charming local market towns: Hay-on-Wye (15 miles), known as the ‘Town of Books’, is packed with bookshops, independent stores and cafes, while Crickhowell (12.5 miles) and Brecon (3 miles) offer historic streets, local shops and traditional pubs.
Step into this welcoming home and immediately find space to kick off your walking boots. To your left, the open-plan lounge/diner invites you to unwind after days of outdoor adventure. Here, large picture windows frame far-reaching rural views and fill the interior with natural light. Soft seating is arranged around a Smart TV and a wood burner, perfect for cosy nights spent together. The room flows through to a smart dining area and into the separate kitchen, which features everything needed for a self-catered stay, including a small breakfast table and a handy utility space with a washing machine. At the end of each day away, head upstairs to the first floor and choose from three restful bedrooms, all of which offer fantastic views of the surrounding countryside. The bedrooms comprise two double rooms and a cosy single, served by a well-appointed family bathroom. A separate ground-floor WC completes the interior.
Outside, to the rear of the cottage, the garden is a wonderful space for relaxation. Gather on the lawn for garden games and find plenty of furnished patio space for quiet morning coffees and al fresco evening meals together. Completing the offering is private off-road parking for two cars on the driveway.
