The condo itself was very nice, as advertised. HOWEVER, the second day we were there, LOUD construction started in the unit directly above us. Hammering, sawing, scraping, crashing of materials being dropped off, IT WAS AWFUL!! This went on incessantly from 9am until 5 pm daily. Very loud and distruptive. Couldn't sleep in, couldn't have a peaceful lunch, couldn't even watch tv. Pretty much had to be out of the condo during those hours to get any peace and quiet. I called 'Nick' at Breckenridge Resort Managers to ask if there was anything that could be done for us and , while he was polite, basically said that there was nothing that he could do about the noise problem related to the construction. He said that was an issue between the home owner and the condo association (HOA). He said that he could possibly move us to another condo in another complex but it was not a 'ski in and ski out' and was about 5-10 m in walk to the ski lift. I told him that was not what we paid for and he said that was the best he could do and he wasn't even certain that he had that unit available. No resolution.
I feel that if there is going to be construction on or near a unit someone is renting that the renter should be notified at the time the reservation is being made.
So bottom line- we spent quite a bit of money on our lodging and had a very noisy, uncomfortable stay for our annual ski vacation. A real bummer.....
