The staff were great. The only negative was the room which was super tiny with no cupboard or place to keep your clothes and no fridge. There should have been a warning while booking that the room is super small. I clearly

Exceptional hotel, and service from friendly staff, king bed extremely comfortable, large bathroom fully renovated and very quiet overnight. Fantastic French inspired restaurant and period decor with all the quality finishes. Highly recommend this venue so much so that we retuned again 3 nights later!

Historic property in a central location. Comfortable beds in clean well appointed rooms. On-site restaurant, whiskey bar, games room and gym make it a great spot for family or friend groups. We found our room to be noisy which at the price point downgraded the rating to good rather than great.

Overall it was a lovely stay. Staff was friendly and hotel was clean. However room layout was a bit odd (no table near a socket to boil a kettle and so had to boil the kettle by the bed side table). Service was a bit slow in the restaurant. The games room was great and so was the EV charger at the car park.

It’s a gorgeous property with lux yet calm decor, comfortable bed and lovely fittings. There was some renovation work happening while we were there and the gym not open in the mornings but when accessed in the afternoon we found a terrific gym set up. The restaurant in which we had breakfast and dined one evening has a lovely atmosphere however could have used at least one additional wait staff and a speedy barista on duty in the morning. Staff were all very helpful.
