"Overall the staff was very nice, The only issue I had was the room was chilly the first night. After having the heat on 90 degrees all night and it still felt chilly, I called maintenance. They came to adjust the vent and heat improved but it still took a long time. Then I smelled burning so I turn the heat down to 77 and the smell went away. I kept the heat on 77 degrees and the heat never went off when the setting was set to auto! Other than this heat issue, everything else was fine! I enjoyed my stay and would come back to this hotel the next time I’m in NYC or New Jersey! "

"This was what the "doctor ordered." I just lost my husband a week ago, and I needed to visit NJ suddenly. Charles understood right away that I need my space and was attentive but left me alone. Quiet, clean, truly cozy, and cute. There was everything one could want, and all in a clean and organized manner. From towels to hair dryer to a wonderful bottle of wine, water, and many little touches you don't usually get in a rental. Charles was also very accommodating and even offered to let my dog out when I had to go to work. All in all, greatness. Highly recommended."

"Be careful — here's what happened:I made a reservation a week before our travel date, and the payment was successfully withdrawn from my bank account. I waited for an email from the host with directions and details about the property, but I never received anything. I reached out to the host, and they first told me there was no parking for my car. Then, surprisingly, they claimed they hadn’t received my reservation or any payment — this was the night before our trip. It was a terrible experience.Thankfully, Vrbo stepped in and refunded me, but we were left scrambling to find a new place to stay at the last minute. Very stressful and disappointing."

"The neighborhood was ok. Congested but the residents/owners take obvious pride in their properties. Adjacent to a rougher part of town but no problems on this street. Lots of smaller bodega style stores, but parking near them was next to impossible due to residents having to park up and down the streets. I bet it would have been easier finding a spot during the work week.The house was not perfect but it did the trick. Beds were comfortable and the place was clean. Bright is the right adjective for this house. Seemed like the sun rose in every room and had to hide from the light to sleep past sunrise. Spacious and homey decor made it feel like a place we could relax in.There were a few things we reached out to the owners about and they were pleasant, responsive and accommodating. Average stuff- if you have ever used a tub with jets that isn't used on the regular- make sure to run it with cleaner, scrub out and rinse before jumping in to enjoy.Would stay again if I needed to be in the area."

"This host has great communication. The pad is just as cozy as the host describes, clean, tastefully decorated, and fully equipped with everything a family might need to feel at home, including wifi access. It makes a great base for exploring, especially given its location at the center of many local sights. That said, the surrounding neighborhood is quite urban: it's noisy, a bit rough around the edges, and parking can be a real challenge. These are trade-offs to keep in mind when considering a stay here."
