良かった点 : 清潔度、チェックイン、コミュニケーション、ロケーション
We chose this property as a special family getaway and, based on the photos, reviews and price point, we were expecting a much more high-end and modern experience than we found in reality.While the house was generally clean & well equipped, and the owners’ communication was very thorough and helpful, the property itself felt far more dated, worn and impractical than anticipated. The decor, layout and furnishings were very old fashioned, and in many places the house felt tired and in need of updating.A few practical issues to note:- the stairs are extremely narrow and steep, which made the upstairs inaccessible for our elderly mother- the downstairs bedroom was cluttered with an ugly shelving unit and drawers (some with the owners items in them)- the kitchen was very small, with limited worktop space - it was overcrowded with 2 trying to make breakfast- heating was inconsistent, with some rooms warm and others difficult to heat- the beach is a 10 minute walk away (with a steep walk back up!)None of this made the stay unmanageable, and we still made the best of our time together as a family, but overall we all came away feeling disappointed because the reality of the house did not match the expectations created by the listing, photographs and previous reviews. Much more 3 star than 5 star.I think this property may suit guests who enjoy more traditional older homes, but prospective guests expecting a contemporary luxury stay may find it falls short of expectations.
