"We stopped for one night on an evening when the restaurant was closed. We were made very welcome (there are 4 rooms only and we were the only guests). The hostess cooked us a lovely three course dinner ( though menu was limited) and in the morning we has a lovely continental breakfast. Simple fair but plentiful. "Le Matisse, que je fréquente pour la 2è année consécutive est un petit hôtel calme dans une rue peu fréquentée à 2 pas du centre de Pau. La chambre est simple mais confortable et fonctionnelle. La propreté des locaux irréprochable. Seul bémol, les chambres ne sont pas, à ce jour, climatisées. Avec les épisodes de canicule qui s'acroissent, les ventilateurs fournis (par ailleurs efficaces) ne sont pas suffisants. Il faut espérer que l'établissement saura évoluer.
