"The advertising pictures and description are accurate - the reality of the Barn upon arrival does not disappoint. We were hosted warmly by Lucy who was nearby if there was a need for assistance or advice. The space is exciting and my 3 grand- daughters loved the layout, especially to 2 mezzanine floors that house 2 of the 5 bedrooms. The large and well equipped kitchen is well thought out space to support food and drink activity. The area is quiet and beautifully located in farmland just outside the village of Shottenden. Whitstable is within easy reach (14 miles) and is a charming seaside town with a myriad of shop, delightfully mostly locally owned and with the usual chains poorly represented. I am sure that we will return in the future."

No complaints as such but it did get a little cold during the night and obviously didn't want to ask how to turn the heating up. In the morning we wanted to get some air in and couldn't open the window. It's a beautiful place and obviously with old buildings it's part and parcel so it's not a complaint just a note."

"We stayed at Custom House in Faversham Kent for a week in august. A group of extended family who live all over the country, the house provided ample space for us all to relax and catch up. The Dining space was perfect for group teas and the garden was perfect for relaxing and for the dogs and littles ones to run around in! We felt sofa chairs would be a more comfortable option for the TV room. Great to have a double oven and large hob, however the electric did keep tripping causing cooking time to slow. Could also do with another fridge with 18 adults staying in the house. The bedrooms were all spacious with comfortable beds and the 5 bathrooms were needed but the attic bathroom were not as clean on arrival (stains on the lino and toothpaste on the walls) The location on the property was perfect right on the quayside and within walking distance to Faversham centre and into the countryside the otherway. We had a blast and would definitely recommend for family gatherings."

"It was everything I could have wished for, Tranquil and isolated, yet 15 minutes from Canterbury. I could tell it was perfect from the moment I arrived.The accommodation is an outbuilding, set well away from the main residence, with a simply gorgeous view over their adjacent field and offering excellent privacy, yet knowing Sheila and Stephen are on hand for any emergencies.The appointments are first-class: Smeg oven, Morphy Richards compact fridge/freezer, beautifully and comfortably decorated with high quality soft furnishings and linens. The spacious walk-in shower was hot within minutes, the bed was lovely, and the furniture luxurious. Their welcome gifts of coffee pods, freshly baked loaf, butter, condiments and even a pint of milk were a wonderful surprise. As a frequent guest in hundreds of places over the years, this was outstanding.It was a pleasure to be able to stay here and the memories will remain for a long time into the future. I may well visit again next year. Thank you (and sorry for my effusive conversation this morning, not having spoken to many people this week!).One word of warning: the insects are many and the corvids in the adjacent woods are rowdy! But I found the morning chorus delightful."

"The Old Postoffice is a nice location for a perfect holiday with the whole family. The kitchen is very well stuffed with all you need. We lived most of the time outdoors, a very beautiful garden and surrounding. We used the dining room ones, because of the heavy wind outside, it is a nice place to be. The beds are very good and the children had their own cosy bedroom. We enjoyed our stay very much."
