「The owner’s Mum greeted us so warmly, despite speaking little or no English. The owner communicated with us via WhatsApp and was extremely accommodating. We unexpectedly arrived early, and they were very welcoming and also offered us a late checkout until 2 PM, although we ended up leaving early. The rooms were spotlessly clean, everything worked perfectly, and we didn’t have to spend ages trying to figure out the TV like we have at some other places! 「Cannot fault this place at all, it’s absolutely wonderful. Stayed for four nights. Staff were incredibly welcoming and smiley, on hand 24/7 to help with anything. Room was immaculate with everything you could need, air-con was a godsend! Lovely balcony to sit out on in the morning with a coffee. Rooms were clean and comfortable. The breakfast was lovely and the staff were really friendly and helpful. There isn't a swimming pool but I felt this was clearly stated so not sure why people have complained about it.」

「Beautiful hotel with very nice rooms, wonderful finishes, and spectacular views over Gjirokastër and the valley. The main drawback is the hilltop location: walking to and from the Old Town is extremely steep, so you will likely rely on taxis, which adds some friction if you want to explore frequently. The staff are friendly and genuinely helpful, though service can feel somewhat unpolished. The food is okay, but I found the restaurants in the Old Town much better. Overall, a lovely place to stay...
