「The house was amazing, the check-in experience was awful. The house is loosely connected to the hotel which manages the check in, but the house is actually family run. The front desk agent was friendly, but had us sit for almost an hour without an update. Terrific house manual sent ahead of booked stay takes all the guess work out of using the property. There are adjacent properties but separated by heavy vegetation. We slept very comfortably. 「We had a total of 12 people in our group and this property setup was perfect. People ages 8 months to 65 years. Location was great for exploring Snaefellness but not too far away from Reykjavik to discourage golden circle activities. Road is pretty easy to find, don’t need 4x4 but take it slow. Need cell phone access for getting to the property. We got to see northern lights while there so that was nice. Absolutely recommend staying here」

「Unfortunately we arrived in the dark and left in the dark so we can not comment on the property. In November the sun sets around 5 and risess around 10. We also got hit with a crazy storm so no hot tub. Now we did see the Northern Lights it was amazing, actually the main reason we stayed in this area. 「The hotel is in a nice rural landscape of Iceland with a hiking opportunity nearby (map on the reception desk). However some dogs of the nearby farmers do not like hikers, wehn you are walking on the street in front of the hotel. The rooms have a good size. Bathroom amenities are from Iceland, produced by Soley. The hotel features a very good restaurant with good views which is worth a visit by itself. A good breakfast is also served in the restaurant.
